    Unit Rankings Article

I really enjoyed the new article on SEC unit rankings. It's very thorough and thought provoking. I do have a few points for discussion. 1) I think Auburn probably has a better, more proven group of DB's than us going into the year (at least on paper). Having said that, they may struggle a...

Auburn will be the suprise team in America this year

Worse this year I think Borges will have Auburn running the ball 50-60 times a game and they will have success with that. They will win 8 or 9, but they can't be better than last year because of their losses on defense. Can't stop the run. :biga2:

    SEC West Breakdown

Skip Holtz is still at SC, but Lou is supposedly taking the play calling duties this year. If that happens there will be more run. I think Skip was demoted to QB coach.

    Reasons for Optimism in 2004

Which of the following do you believe will have the largest positive impact on the Crimson Tide in 2004?

IS IT S & C OR IS IT THE MOTIVATION??

Good Questions It's a good question you ask bbuzzard. What I think is interesting is Coach Shula's actions after last season. What was his big change? He changed strength coaches -- a move that surprised everyone. I think his motivation for the change was as much for player motivation (and...

    SEC West Breakdown

I actually don't disagree with you at all. With a few good breaks we could certainly make some noise. The linked artilce below says that most of the money on Bama in Las Vegas is on OVER 7 wins. http://www.reviewjournal.com/lvrj_home/2004/Jul-12-Mon-2004/sports/24291930.html

    SEC West Breakdown

I think with two weeks for nothing but Auburn preparation, the Ole Miss coaches will have their team ready. I also think the Ole Miss offense (great line and possibly a strong running game) matches up well with Auburn (possibly a weak front 7 and definitely inexperienced). Add that to the home...

    SEC West Breakdown

On a slow morning, some thoughts on SEC West Division Race: LSU - They've got to be the favorite for this year, but will not be as dominant as last year. The Tigers lose talented WR's and a couple of the best DL in the nation. Alas, they will reload. They have UGA and UF on the road in...

    Early Predictions for 2004

You are correct. I probably should have said "3-5 or 4-4 in conference." Auburn, LSU and Tennessee all clearly have more talented depth at this point than do the Tide. It would take a lot of heart and great coaching to win those. South Carolina appears to be a tough match-up to me; Lou Holtz...

    Early Predictions for 2004

I'm interested to know what fellow Tide fans are expecting this year. Of course it is early and things will change, but at this point knowing what we know, what will our regular season record be? My guess, by the way is 6-5. Undefeated out of conference and 4-4 in the SEC. South Carolina, Ole...
