    Final Pre-NSD Recruiting Update

So with Williams flipping, do we make a push for Boston again?

JessN: Replacement for Nussmeier could be Saban’s biggest hire ever

I think if—and it's a big if—CNS opts for some form of a primary up-tempo offense, I believe he would also be committing to a defense built to stop the same. In other words, if he thinks the tempo offense will be effective for the foreseeable future and gives us the best chance to...

Who are going to be the Bama starting CB's next year? It bit us in 2010 and 2013....

What is Cyrus' height / weight? He seems a bit undersized to me relative to CNS's preferences, but sometimes it's hard to tell watching on TV.

    Greetings From Minnesota!

I lived in Minneapolis for 4 years until 2010. It would always be a thrill to see Bama fans and exchange "Roll Tides!" Went to a few Gopher games...TCF Stadium is so tiny compared to Bryant-Denny! And completely different atmosphere.

Question: The future of Defensive Philosophy and the HUNH

Someone alluded to this earlier; I think our issues at cb have prevented a lot of the aggressiveness Saban would have liked to employ defensively. Belue has not been 100% for some time now, C. Jones and the rest of the cb roster (minus Fulton, who has struggled) are inexperienced. It has seemed...

Link: CBS Sports on O line

Inexperience aside, I wonder how much of a factor (if any) the adjustment to Mario Cristobal's techniques / coaching style was in the OL struggles. I don't really know how Cristobal's approach differs from other OL coaches under CNS.

    AJ Squats 600 Today

I wonder if part of the draft report AJ received from the NFL called for him to get bigger and stronger, despite his proven track record in the durability department.

Development of Bradley Sylve and Alphonse Taylor

With DB and OL being key areas in need of contributors/depth for 2013, I was wondering if anyone in the know can comment on the development of Sylve and Taylor at their respective positions.

The 8 minutes prior to Kiffen's Press Conference

It should also be noted that some of the press are the only ones willing to ask Kiffen the tough questions. The Tennessee brass are obviously trying to be diplomatic about the whole affair and USC obviously neither sees, hears, nor speaks any evil concerning their new coach. It sounded like a...

    Scouting and Beating Texas.....

I thought the same thing when I watched McCoy's post-game interview. Simply an effort to save face on national TV as the Heisman vote approaches.

    Sustainability of Auburn's offense

I think this year was Auburn's best chance to catch us by surprise (which they did) and win the game (which they didn't). After this game and another year's worth of game film to watch for the next Iron Bowl, I think we show up more prepared. Under Coach Saban, I think we will consistently be...

Re: Ingram pass play to JJ in the endzone... I know many of us have questioned why we haven't seen Star run the wildcat since he is a legitimate dual threat. Maybe we finally see it vs. Florida.

    Sustainability of Auburn's offense

I came across an interesting article from John Clayton on the future of the wildcat in the NFL. At least a couple of NFL coaches think it will stick around for awhile, while another questioned how long, pointing out the relatively short-lived run-and-shoot offense and 46 defense: John Clayton...

Question: What is a "normal" Iron Bowl?

Same here. Love beating them in Tuscaloosa on our field. And just as satisfying, beating them on theirs.

    Sustainability of Auburn's offense

I would also imagine that Coach Saban pitches our style of offense to recruits as one that makes them more NFL-ready. Although the advent of the wildcat in the NFL is opening the door to players that can be role players in offenses such as the spread eagle.
