In an article I read in the Mobile Press Register, it said that Saban wanted him on defense until he watched him play and realized that this guy should be scoring touchdowns for us. They are calling his plays the "Uno" package which feaures him at QB, RB, and WR since he has already been cleared...

I know Ivan and I know he is a hard worker. You don't run for more than 2000 yard in one season averaging more than 10 yards per carry if you arent conditioned right. And there would be no way he could bench 315 and squat 525 if he did not work out consistently.

Yeah he has 168 carries for 1821 yards and 23 TDs. That is 10.8 yards/carry. Not to bad. St. Paul's has an insane offense. I think Ivan will have a fourth star by the end of the year.

AJ McCarron, the QB out of St. Paul's in Mobile, is one of Alabama's biggest recruits for 2009. He has had an excellent junior season, and has led his team all the way to the semifinals, where they play Friday night. Alabama really needs a big QB recruit and I believe AJ would fit perfectly...

St. Paul's has four senior D1 players in Matchett, Barron, Hood, and DB Louis Watson. They also have three Junior prospects in McCarron, DB Andrew Miller, and 6'4" DE Mike Thomas. They are pretty stacked.

Speaking of Ivan being a stud, more than 620 yards on the ground in three games avering 8+ yards a carry is not bad. Especially considering running with a line that has three new starters and only getting the ball about 20 times a game.

Re: Destin Hood Q They are struggling because they have a completely new offensive system and they have a pretty weak offensive line. they switched from a wing t to a spread offense and they lost three starters off the o line.
