One good thing about being an "old timer", I remember every one of the games in this thread. My 1st Bama (and my favorite) game was in the mid-60's at Foster against MSU. Jim Andrews and Harry Hammonds were the stars for Bama that night, yep the same Harry from "Harry's Bar".

Just watched an interview on the Golf Channel with Coach Saban and his partner, former Alabama golfer, Bud Cauley. Good job by both of them. Boy that would be great to be there!

No one has been part of more Natty's than Coach Moore. The remarkable thing to me is all the calls for his job back in the early and middle 00's. It was disgusting to read some of the comments posted on some of the forums during that time. I don't know how much longer he will stay on his watch...

As good a coach as Saban is and he's pretty dang good. I can't help but feel that if he was anywhere else but Bama he would never have held up two trophies in only five years. Coach Saban and Alabama are a perfect blend and I don't know a whole lot but I'm sure if he hangs around a few more...

I'm sure we haven't heard the last of Mr. Gentry, whether it's in the pro's or in the ranks of Alabama alumni. Thanks Nick, something tells me that Coach Bryant would have been proud to have you on one of his teams!

I've posted with RabidBamaFan since the old TideSports forum back in '01. Always a positive guy and a true Bama fan. I considered him a friend even though we never met. Prayers for his family and friends.

I think (no I KNOW) that sanctions played a huge role in us having to put up with those doozy coaches. Sanction effects aren't always immediate but they last a long time. Look at USC, they're pretty good right now but let's see what there record is in 3 years. Loss of schollys is the worst...
