They ran through us pretty well in the 1st half......however we held them to a field goal in the 2nd half and missed a field goal of our own at the end that would have won the game.

John Forney did return as play-by-play announcer in 1988. The first game was Temple and John's comments as he was introduced was something like "....before I was so rudely interrupted....". Paul Kennedy left to go to a television network in Florida......SunSports. As I recall Eli took over in 1989.

I think Billy Kinard (not Bruiser) was the HC.....

Diamond Tide, I hate to say it but this year's team reminds me alot of some Shollenberger's last teams. I have been a season ticket holder since Well's 2nd year but haven't gone yet this year....just from news articles it appears that we can't pitch, hit or field. What's your take?

In addition to the ones already posted which were all monsoon type downpours, I'd have to include the 1980 Ala-UT game in Knoxville. It was a complete downpur from the opening kickoff through the end of the game and then some.

I sat on the same side of the field Saturday as the MSU students and consequently had to use the same bathroom facilities.....at the half I encountered screaming, "in your face" students/fans saying such things as "The Bear is dead!" Later on after the game I saw several makeshift signs...
