Bama Game Thread: Official Game Thread, Bama vs. IU, 2nd Half...

It's actually tough hitting refresh to see the updated score. That said, them running up the score - if that's their intention, isn't the worst thing. It may way provoke action in advance of next year Plus they're sending a message to the remaining teams, from their point of view it's...

My cable supplier no longer covers college football on this side of the pond. I'm suffering refreshing Google for score updates, bizarrely it reads like I might be getting the best of the deal.

Nick Saban Retiring? It's Official .. the Goat is gone

Two phrases sprang to my mind, the first I can't type on Tidefans unless I fancy a ban. The second is Thank You.

When and why did you become a Crimson Tide fan?

30th September 2013, after the Iron Bowl I had started out watching actually hoping for an Auburn win. I did a huge 'hello' thread with more detail on it at the time, but the short version of it is: As a Scotsman I've always found American Sports pretty much devoid of passion, soulless even...

Alabama's best played game in the Nick Saban era?

Don't know if I get a vote, but I'm voting anyway. 2018 SEC Championship game Vs Georgia 35-28. I know it wasn't a championship year but that's the most emotional I (as an outsider looking in) has been watching a Bama game, the whole Jalen Hurts redemption arc thing just pushed me over an...

    Georgia’s perspective on SECCG

The full games not long made it's way onto YouTube so my first chance to see the coverage. I'll admit to not having a trained eye, but it didn't seem like the result was ever in much doubt and the 3pt margin was kind to Georgia.

    Your Personal All Saban Team.

First one to go for Javier Arenas, having effectively only seen 'highlight reels' he would have been my pick on returns too. 🙂

I really wasn't sure about special teams tbh. I could do my team, but my knowledge is very limited, but I will give it a go. I figured other people's opinions would be a good basis for who to research.

This is the first time the BCS formula differed from the CFP final four...

Hey Selma, good to see you Sir. I was assuming in the computer results posted, prior to conference finals Georgia would have been ranked above say the Buckeyes. Georgia played against Bama and Lost, the Buckeyes didn't play but managed to jumped Georgia, even though both only have one loss...

I get the humans making those choices, but the computer rankings I was questioning surely wouldn't factor that in?

Being an outsider looking in and genuinely unsure. How could Georgia drop to 7th purely on the basis of a 3pt loss to the team placed 3rd overall. And if I'm understanding it properly, Ohio State gain an advantage by not playing an extra game because they didn't make it to their conference final?

Bama Game Thread: We're in! - College Football Playoff (CFP) Selection Show (12/3/23 | ESPN | Noon ET)

The whole playoff structure has always made no sense to me, not being brought up with it. 2, 4, 8 or 16 teams in the playoffs seems like a no brainer from the other side of the pond. I guess having 5 power conferences doesn't help in that regard, but 5 winners and the best 3 runners up makes...
