Trump's Policies Part 5

Again EO's have no bearing on what CA does with money. They aren't laws that states have to follow and are guidelines for the federal government.
that's not what the post said. the Administration is launching an investigation into CA no one signed an executive order about this.

The Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996 (PRWORA), also known as the Welfare Reform Act governs this type of issue. This law imposes strict restrictions on undocumented immigrants’ access to federal public benefits.

Um........

In 1861, during the early stages the Civil War, President Abraham Lincoln suspended the writ of habeas corpus, a legal order that allows individuals to seek release from unlawful detention. This action, primarily intended to address rebellion and potential disloyalty, allowed the government to detain individuals without due process, sparking significant controversy and legal challenges.
I think his point was that there never was a declaration of war.

This follows President Trump’s executive order BARRING illegal aliens from receiving Social Security benefits, and ordering a crackdown.

So basically he's grandstanding about soemthing that is already against the law and I can pretty much guarantee the State of California is not doing.

I think Justice Roger Taney disposed of this presidential suspension of habeas corpus in Ex Parte Merryman.
The president cannot suspend the writ of habeas corpus. Only Congress can.
Then again, this would place the Democrats in leaguew with the the author od the Dred Scott decision.
I have been reliably informed that all that matters about an historical figure is is stance on slavery and few figures in Americana history have been as aggressively pro-slavery as Taney.
So should we not just ignore any decision Taney rendered?

How is it grandstanding to say we are investigating this, and to say you can "pretty much guarantee" they aren't or haven't done that is a "bold move Cotton". You seriously think the far left zealots in charge of that state wouldn't do just that thinking no one would ever come after them? You have way more confidence in the government and its bureaucrats than I do no matter the party.

Exactly. If the Biden administration had investigated the state of Florida on the exact same accusations, most Dems wouldn't have bothered to wait on the outcome before assuring us that they knew something like this was going on and "heads are gonna roll." They would certainly approve of it, no matter what. Personally, I'm too jaded to really care about this investigation. Even if they catch people red-handed, I'm just too cynical to believe that anyone of consequence will be indicted, but less convicted.

I’m going to try one last time.

The Qatar B-747 was built in the US by Boeing. They are offering a newer 747 to replace one of the two current A F-1s that have been flying for 40 years. Which are tired and need to be replaced. The wing based at Andrews has also purchased aircraft from other countries in the past which are currently flying our VP and senior government officials.

This is NOT new.

Qatar is offering the jet to the US military, not Donald Trump.

The DOD contractor is based in the US, in fact my dad (a retired Air Force general) used to work for them. They are, not unironically, also working to upgrade the FAA technology as we speak. You know, Newark and elsewhere. They will get the aircraft and perform all of the security and the installation of the systems that A F-1 requires to safely move our president around the world. Not the Qatari’s.

And you and I will pay for that but not the $400 million the 747 would normally cost.

I could tell you exactly what is required to modify the A F-1 for safe flight but that is Top Secret and I’d have to kill you. This A F-1 will serve the sitting president, whether they be Republican or Democrat until Boeing gets their act together to complete the new, upcoming improved 747s that started under Obama, was renegotiated under Trump, and was completely ignored by the Biden administration. It’s looking like 2029 to 2030 for delivery at the soonest.

I love X but sometimes the “sky is falling” conspiracy crap grows tiresome. A little knowledge goes a long way. Having flown on the current A F-1s 100 hundred times, I have intimate knowledge.
Now, come at me about “chemtrails.”

So, there are zero planes here in the USA that could be retrofitted? Sorry, even if this is a real squeaky clean deal, the President should be above the terrible optics it's creating, since just a couple of weeks ago:

But the right has stopped caring about their own when it comes to dark money or the Emoluments clause.

Then there's the ugly links:

What's next, the President to take a new motorcade of used Cadillacs from Russia?

The Colonies never issued a Declaration of War.

I guess the American Revolution was just an argument. :D

Vietnam? A "conflict".

Korea? A "conflict".
No, but the colonies declared independence. If Britain had acquiesced, there would have been no war.

If you are going to argue that the president can set aside the Constitution in regards to Americans whenever he really wants to, then you are giving Trump all the excuse he needs to do what he wants.

The country was at war.

He did the right thing.

Treason was the reason for the season.

How Trump’s National Weather Service Cuts Could Cost Lives
Weather experts warn that staff cuts at the National Weather Service that have been made by the Trump administration are a danger to public safety as tornadoes, hurricanes and heat loom this spring and summer.

...
Even before President Donald Trump took office, the NWS was already about 5 percent below the staffing level the service has considered adequate as it scrambled to catch up to a spate of retirements. After the NWS’s first wave of firings and early retirements under the Trump administration, staffing at the service’s 122 field offices across the country has dropped to a 19 percent vacancy rate. Fifty-two offices are now considered “critically understaffed,” meaning a shortage of more than 20 percent. Some branches are down by more than 40 percent. “We’re small offices,” Becker says. Each weather forecast office has about 25 to 30 people. “When you’re down four people, it starts to hurt,” she adds. “There comes a point where you don’t have enough people to cover everything.”

The 'free' gift of a 747, in addition to being a huge security issue, will cost 100s of millions to retrofit to become an 'AF1' not to mention taking years. Also we currently have 2 in production already to become new 'AF1s'. This is simply a bribe being offered to the grifter-in-chief and an obvious violation of the constitution.
