ICE Officer Kills Motorist In Minneapolis

that still doesn’t make it ok for them to use lethal force
There was NO reason for that woman to be shot in the head at nearly point blank range through the side window of her car! No properly trained officer should have ever done it. No reasonable person would have done it under these conditions.

Agree, they should have shot out her tires. It was evident she was not armed with both hands on the steering wheel.

Veteran Minnesota high school teacher bizarrely raged over the details surrounding anti-ICE protester Renee Good’s death during a heated argument with a student — which ended when she insulted the boy’s intelligence, according to video of the disturbing scene.

Becker High School social studies teacher Dr. Heather Abrahamson grew increasingly agitated as she insisted that ICE agent Jonathan Ross used unnecessary deadly force against Good, 37, according to Libs of TikTok, which posted the clip and identified Abrahamson in a Tuesday X post.

“His move should have been to go like this if he was really afraid. Your job as a police officer is to de-escalate,” the instructor can be heard saying while the camera is pointed at other students sitting at their desks in the Becker classroom.

The video then pans to show Abrahamson, who is standing within inches of the unidentified student’s face, as she repeatedly interrupts his claim that Ross “had a split second” to decide whether to kill the mother of three.

“No, he had — no. I’m not going to argue with you,” she says and drops her hands, before the boy points out, “You’re arguing right now.”

“Because watch the video — he was not in danger,” an incensed Abrahamson cries loudly, while dramatically flailing her hands in the air between her and the student, who was also standing.

“Just because you’re yelling doesn’t mean you’re winning an argument,” the boy says as Abrahamson walks to the side of the room — before unleashing a twisted insult on her teenage student.

“Yeah, just because you’re alive doesn’t mean you’re intelligent,” she hisses.

What if you went out of your way to put yourself in front of that car?
If the car wasn't moving why wouldn't you feel ok walking in front of it? I walk in front of not moving cars all the time. If one starts to suddenly move I'm going to freak out especially if I think the person may have bad intentions.

Understand I know there are two sides to the argument. I get where you are coming from.

Tbh I subscribe to CA’s point of view in that both parties made bad mistakes that shouldn’t have happened. But the doofus walking around a car with a cellphone imo put himself in the situation.

That's a reasonable point of view. I would consider her an even worse doofus for driving away when the LEO's are telling her to get out the car. That is fleeing and eluding. Even if the cop is wrong in what he or she is telling you running away is the dumbest thing you could ever do.

His entire ministry was protesting the ones who were running the church at the time. Why do you think the church leaders demanded His execution?

I swear, the typical American Christian doesn’t actually read the Bible.
Church leaders? What the hell are you talking about? The Sanhedrin? The Pharisees? They had nothing whatsoever to do with the church.

1. Very bad decision to bring this up in class. By this point opinions are too entrenched, and it's not like critical thinking skills are being taught anymore. If you feel obligated to bring it up, then maybe by showing the video, then asking "What could Ms. Good have done to avoid the situation?" What could the ICE agent have done." But that approach could still have digressed into a shouting match.

2. A teacher should never get in a shouting argument with a student.

BREAKING - New video reveals the family who received nearly $200,000 in donations after claiming they were returning from a basketball game when their baby was tear gassed in Minneapolis lied, as footage shows the parents participated in the riot and left their baby in their car.

Yep, I was wondering when this was gonna happen.

Grifters will always find a way to grift. The funny thing is the $200k probably cannibalized some political campaign contributions for Dems.

Honestly i rarely get into modern world conversations that are politically motivated with my students.

1) because you are arguing with 12-18 year olds

And

2) you are basically arguing with their parents because they haven’t formed their own opinion 99% of the time. So you really don’t want to do it.

3) politics has NO business in a classroom except to discuss facts about how our elections work, the two party system, etc. Affirmation of political opinions like "only citizens should be able to vote", "biological men should be banned from women's sports: ,etc., have no "right" answer. It's all individual opinion. Teachers should NEVER express their political opinion in an educational setting. Hard stop.

I once had a history teacher (and baseball coach) who announced to us on the first day of classes, "You know why adults don't listen to you? It's because you're ignorant and don't know what the hell you're talking about. Let's remedy that situation, turn to page 12....." I couldn't help but respect a guy who spoke so plainly to a room full of HS sophomores.

Politics HAVE business being in the classroom within reason. I think totally walling politics away from students is a mistake that we are currently paying for.

Now personal politics… no. Generally I don’t ever see it necessary to give them. Just like I don’t see the necessity of over religious coworkers talking about God in the classroom either. But no one says anything about that.

What an idiot, just like everyone else in this stupid administration.

After reading this post it’s apparent you don't either.

I don't think you do either. There was no church in Jesus day. He was a practicing Jew. The church was founded at Pentecost when the disciples received the Holy Spirit, Peter preached, and about 3,000 people were saved and baptized that day. That was after the death burial resurrection, and ascension of Christ. The Jewish leaders demanded his execution, specifically the Sanhedrin. The would have a belief akin to what we think of as Orthodox Jews today. Not very churchy group.

You may not believe in any of that and that's fine, but at least understand what you are talking about before you go out talking about what Christians don't know.
