What I don't understand why Bama is hated so much but Notre Dame, Ohio State and Michigan somehow escape the gut level nationwide hatred.

We are definitely hated by the rest of the college football world. When you beat everyone to a pulp for decades they really start to hate you and they just can't hide it, even when many of the haters are "unbiased" journalists. What I don't understand why Bama is hated so much but Notre Dame, Ohio State and Michigan somehow escape the gut level nationwide hatred.

Because we won what, 6 titles in 11 years? and played for 3 more.
And, maybe its just me, but i think people not from the south generally hold it in contempt.

Delaware's Ryan Carty left Ohio State out of the Top 25 also. The explanation from Carty and Fickell is that those omissions were simply "accidents".

I don't what kind of grudge this guy has against Bama but that is just ridiculous. We beat Vandy and then he has Tulane, JMU, North Texas, Navy and Old Dominion ahead of Bama. That is just crazy!

Pretty generous IMO. Soft as 3 ply toilet paper team as a whole, O-Line that can get pushed over by a steady Florida breeze, running game that was just a good as a 2-legged dog, D full of hang nail posers. # 21 is spot on.

Alabama deserved being ranked higher. I'm not sure we should have been ranked in the top 10, but 21 was slander. If I was doing honest rankings I would have rated Alabama 12-15 due to the late season collapses. We had injuries and in some cases coaches called plays that put us in poor position to stage a comeback win.

So this is the most meaningless of all meaningless things. Polls really should be done away with now. There are no NFL polls...

That being said, if you are going to do a poll, do it right. This guy is stupid. Oh, I'm sure one of his staff actually filled out the poll, which makes him stupider still. Polls are beauty contests, I get it, and beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Still, there ought to be some kind of standard. This buffoon would lose his voting privileges if I ran the poll. So would the idiots that left Georgia and Ohio State completely out of the top 25.
