I appreciate this. If the local government had called in these Federal agents and the Federal agents were not masked and were under the command of local law enforcement, I would agree.

The fact is, these are not LEOs. These are people recruited with your tax dollars with inflated bonuses and salaries and no insignia or ID because decent LEOs want nothing to do with this. What "ICE" is doing is unlawful and unconstitutional.

They are killing white people with no accountability. It's a small step until they can kill you just as easily.

They need to stand down. The definition of insanity is doing the same bad thing over and over, and expecting a different result.

Any administration with any sense would have recognized this by now.

There is some of that, but also for the reasons in my thread. My Son In Law was DEA for 6 years until he realized he could put his Miss St engineering degree to better use. They used masks to keep from being identified by the drug traffickers they were after. To protect their families. If ICE is going after gang members , there is a reason for the masks outside of intimidation.

They are on a public street going after US citizens, not drug traffickers or gang members, and they know it. This is Minneapolis MN USA not Guadalajara Mexico.

I get that, but , the reason ICE is in Minnesota to begin with is because of the massive fraud of US taxpayer dollars uncovered by a YouTuber. I understand the masks. If those amongst us would not put Federal agents names , address and phone numbers on the internet for the purpose of harassment. They wouldn’t be necessary nor would they have an excuse to hide their identity. No, I wouldn’t be killed by ICE, I wouldnt follow them around.

Before becoming a politician, U.S. Senator Rick Scott was the CEO of Columbia/HCA, which in the late 1990s was involved in the largest healthcare fraud case in U.S. history. The company paid over $1.7 billion in fines and penalties to settle allegations of systematic fraud against Medicare and Medicaid.

I don't recall a federal army showing up overthe above fraud case versus the still alleged and unproven "massive" case in Minnesota that was investigated by a right wing Youtuber.

Watching the video from all angles. It looks like when Pretti is on the ground, one of the agents sees the gun in its holster on his hip, calls out gun at the same time another agent grabs the gun out of the holster and starts walking away, Pretti grabs his stomach when the gun call comes out, the agent thinks he is reaching, backs up and fires on him . Other agents then join in. He no longer had the firearm. Poor training , all the way around. In totality. I don’t know how there isn’t at least a manslaughter charge , if not murder 2 . The agent that pushed the woman, regardless of his involvement in the shooting should be terminated immediately if not prosecuted . He just shoved the woman hard for no real reason.

Sure, I have an opinion about this ENTIRE mess we've been witness to these past couple weeks.

I don't know how the governor of a state cannot manage things better - and at the VERY LEAST - ensure none of "HIS" folks are killed.

All of what we have witnessed was on HIS watch and because of that - these two deaths are on HIM!

Feel free to continue debate and discussions on all the details of each shooting - alas there's plenty there to discuss.

But how anyone thanks this governor should not be held accountable is beyond me.

The fact that local law enforcement was held back when it was obvious to all that order was needed to ensure safety of everyone is what stands out the most egregious of (non)actions taken.

ICE and CBP agents are not trained for this - so why did the elected officials sit on their hands while chaos ensured?

The answer is they did it for POLITICAL purposes.

I am not suggesting folks are not allowed to protest - but if you think this was peaceful protesting - I have some oceanfront property in Arizona to sell you.

Lastly on the subject of governing.......you think any of this chaotic & reckless to the public stuff would happen in my state?

I think the governor has made wise choice. He knows that Trump has sent ICE there looking for a fight whether it be with local law enforcement or the National Guard with a pretense to invoke the Insurrection Act in Minnesota suspend its upcoming elections and take it out of the political math. Trump likely knows that he survive a mid-term washout or extend a 3rd term with only a couple of states taken out of the equation.

He is trying to lay the tender in hopes the state and its citizens will set it.

To win against this the people need to protest but stop doing stupid stuff. You should not get in the way of a criminal even they are wearing a badge nor should try to confront a criminal while armed.

If anything Minnesota should be reminding people how to protest peacefully and understand that people may try to obstruct peaceful protests.

I was reminded yesterday by an Alabama YouTuber- Robert Arnold of the march to the Edmund Pettus Bridge to face the dogs and the clubs after walking miles and miles in the Sun. Some will pay a horrible price but hopefully that sacrifice will wake this country up before it is beyond hope of repair.

When grand juries have been impaneled to hear testimony and evidence on the killings of Renee Good & Alex Pretti, then we can begin to talk about the Trump admin doing something tangible. Until that, all this is just PR damage control that only the extremely naive will fall for.
