good lord these people are idiots

Vance says he’s ‘obsessed’ with UFO files, calls aliens ‘demons’

He then suggested that the concept of aliens was a human attempt to explain the unexplainable, saying that he believes it’s a different force behind the phenomena.

“I don’t think they’re aliens, I think they’re demons anyway, but that’s a longer discussion,” Vance said, prompting Johnson to seek clarification.

“I mean every great world religion, including Christianity, the one that I believe in, has understood that there are weird things out there, and there are things that are very difficult to explain,” the vice president continued. “And I naturally go, when I hear about sort of extra-natural phenomenon, that’s where I go, is the Christian understanding that, you know, there’s a lot of good out there, but there’s also some evil out there.”

And here I thought going to an Ivy League school suggested the ability to read and write.

what a bunch of low-rent charlatans

This is what Graham sent him:

“It is an important issue to know for certain that your soul is secure and will spend eternity in the presence of God,” Graham wrote in an Oct. 15, 2025, letter that Trump shared on Truth Social Sunday. “The only One who can save us from Hell is Jesus Christ.”

“The only way to Heaven is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ,” he added. “Jesus came to earth, died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and God raised Him to life on the third day. If you accept that by faith and invite Him to come into your heart, you ARE heaven bound, I promise you.”

He said if he believed in Jesus, he would go to Heaven. Trump will never believe, though, because Trump can never admit that there is anyone greater than himself.

What I find really funny is that Graham essentially sent him a transcript of his TV commercial. I'm surprised it didn't also say, If you prayed that prayer just now, call the following 1-800 number."

That's funny, because I was assured all the way back in 1999 that George W. Bush - graduate of Yale and the only President with an earned MBA from Harvard - was a complete dummy. This is hardly a "new" argument. And all of this now reminds me of a joke.

On July 8, 1947, aliens supposedly landed in Roswell, New Mexico. Nine months later (literally the exact gestational age in this case) on March 31, 1948, Al Gore was born.

And what do the first two letters of ALien spell?

Hmmm...............

I have a few follow up questions for Vance. How old does he think Earth is? What does he think the shape of Earth is? Does he believe in dinosaurs? Does he think space is real?

Leavitt begins the press briefing: "Could you hear our 'amen' in there? We just had a little loud prayer as a team. In this holy week, President Trump and the First Lady are joining in prayer with Christians celebrating the resurrection of our lord and savior, Jesus Christ."

Matthew 6:5: “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full."

i'm sure there are biblical reasons this doesn't apply to the right kind of christians

"You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain"

FWIW....I've always thought medical folks are the closest thing to a mechanic anyway. They use tools almost the same way. Diagnose problems - troubleshoot - etc. etc....

Oncologists don't really use their hands... We are pretty much theoretical except for the occasional bone marrow biopsy.

My son is majoring manufacturing engineering and can figure out most things with youtube. He's dismantled most of his car and put it back together... Usually after scrubbing with walnut shells. Definitely takes after his grandparents and not me!

It sounds a lot like NRA zealots claiming any gun reform laws are the first step in taking our guns. Yes , supposedly the REAL ID program would be enough , I don’t know about elsewhere, but that program has been a requirement here in Georgia for awhile. I myself got caught up in an issue that had to be addressed before my license was renewed a few years ago. But I understood the reasoning for it. No I don’t know all the particulars of the SAVE act, but I do know much of them, and think the fears are unfounded.
WE THE PEOPLE ARE TIRED OF THE BICKERING AND NAME CALLING AND GRANDSTANDING , and the arguments on both sides . Without a doubt a lot of the teeth gnashing are simply anti Trump rhetoric.
I’ll add, I had to take time out of work to travel to Alabama department of health in Birmingham to a copy get my birth Certificate from South Highland hospital. It is an inconvenience. , but not impossible . After that, I had to travel to Maine to take care of some ID issues with the misspelling of my last name on official records in that state. Again, inconvenient but not impossible.
Those are some of the best arguments against the SAVE Act I've heard...
