I wasn't able to attend A-Day, but a friend of mine did and he said he only stayed for the portion of the game where it appeared the 1's vs 1's were going against each other. He never mentioned anything about the OL looking "bad" or looking like it did last year. But he also didn't mention it looking good either. He didn't mention it at all. He just said he was very impressed with several of our defensive players and the two transfers we picked up from Va Tech and USC seem to stand out.

He said Daniel Hill looks like he has slimmed up a bit and looks to be a bit quicker than last season. As for as the QB's, he said at least for that day, Russell looked like the superior QB. As for as the WR's, he said the Morgan kid looks legit, Rico Scott had some good plays, but he never mentioned Ryan Coleman-Williams.

That's about all the info I got about A-Day. Anymore information that anyone can provide I'd really appreciate it.

I think the OL has promise. I'm not a great judge, but watched some highlights and they found and blocked guys and blocked out into the second level. By and large there weren't a couple of them standing around blocking air and looking confused like last year either. Not as big on the left side, but much faster.

It takes a while to gel. Hopefully they can select a starting five and just rep the snot out of them in the fall.

Reactions: The Ols
Any update on Rogers?
I believe it is a torn patella tendon and he won't be back until October... that means it may not be a full tear if true. Hopefully he can make a full recovery and be 100 percent for next year. I doubt he will get to play a lot this year if he has to learn the offense, get back in shape, etc.

Yeah, OL is the most difficult position group because everybody has to be in "sync" with one another to be effective...

#12 is going to be very good. I am still concerned with the run game. Because of that not to sure how we will hold up against the run. Anyone at the game have an assessment of our pass rush?

What is the story on Crowell's leg injury?
It was described as a "soft tissue" injury.

I think "time" is what he needs to heal and they chose not to put him at further risk this spring.

It's unfortunate, considering he may be our most talented player and the spring reps would have been very important for him.

But, the good news is the Brown kid got some reps and looks like he has some shake, rattle and roll!
