Trump's Policies XIII

Trump designated disaster aid to 9 Republican-leaning states while plugging GOP candidates

Trump combines disaster aid announcements with midterm election endorsements.

...

However, approval of Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) disaster aid requests appears to have significant partisan disparities under Trump.

The president has repeatedly approved a higher percentage of aid requests for Republican-leaning states than for Democratic-leaning ones in his second term, according to the nonpartisan think tank Urban Institute. Nearly 84% of disaster requests from states that voted for Trump in 2024 were approved, compared to about 42% from states that voted for Kamala Harris, according to an analysis of public FEMA data from Andrew Rumbach, senior fellow at the Urban Institute.

Did anyone else think the TV anchor playing a US Attorney sounded like an absolute idiot today explaining that it was a felony because Hearn touched the detached coating with both hands. I couldn't figure out if her smile were efforts to keep from laugh out loud. Then you had the reality TV star trying to play president explaining how they took knives or boxcutters and cut it up. Does even his base believe this crap? I haven't seen a straight line like one made with a knife yet...
All you really need to know is that trump lies . . .and lies, and lies . . .

Does this mean we should emigrate back to UK and start a revolution there?
It means that about 35% of the voters dont care enough about that to reject a dangerous unqualified fool as long as they beat the other team. :(
The % is actually much higher overall because there are also many on the other end of the spectrum too. :(

and every single one of those 35% lsee this as perfectly fine, justified even.

Incredible WSJ reporting on how European leaders deal with Trump:

-European leaders workshopped tweets to send Trump, debating which words to capitalize. They had to sound extra stupid to win over his trust.

-Trump didn't like the idea of sanctioning Russia, so they started calling sanctions "tariffs."

-When a tablet to call Trudeau didn't work, Trump threw it down like a baby.

-Trump took German leader Merz into the Oval Office, which he called the "Lewinsky room", and told him he could take away MAGA swag that he could sell for thousands of dollars.

You couldn't make this into a comedy. The straight reporting is funny enough. But really it's disgraceful and if you have any pride in your nation you should be ashamed of this.

Sean Duffy: Remember when Biden and Boot-edge-edge used YOUR MONEY for DEI bike lanes and climate change?

THAT’S OVER

I just redirected $1.73 billion in USDOT grants away from Biden-era DEI pet projects

Now this funding is officially locked in to fix America’s actual backbone: ROADS, BRIDGES, AND SHIPPING PORTS

DEI bike lanes. Speaking directly to the cult.

When I first glanced at his name, my brain read it as Sean P. Diddy.

Not knocking anyone but as noted, Trump does not have any policies at all.

Whatever he gets a wild hair about at this very moment, he goes on a toddler tantrum until he has exhausted his interest in that subject, and then he moves onto another subject like a child in a nursery, distracted by the bright colors and new toys.

By the way, we are over 500 posts on this thread.

A federal judge ruled Wednesday that E. Jean Carroll can receive the $5.8 million awarded to her after a 2023 jury found that President Donald Trump sexually abused her in 1996 and later defamed her when he denied her allegations.

U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan directed the release of the money from a court escrow account, along with the interest that has accrued since the verdict, after the Supreme Court refused last week to hear the president’s appeal of the award.

And he's already appealed again. I wonder how his lawyers avoid being sanctioned for filing frivolous motions.
