    Saban covers a lot of ground in this interview about his career. It's about 1 hour 15 minutes but I enjoyed it very much. Among the interesting things said was that right now he'd rather coach an NFL team than another college team.

    Notre Dame is a big draw but Penn State is not. I think the fact that it was played on a Thursday night didn't help. That's a horrible time to schedule a playoff game. I guess we'd have to see how Texas-Ohio State did Friday evening to compare.

    After the game Sark tried to pass the buck by saying if everyone would have blocked properly it would have worked. But what are the odds that everyone blocks their man near the goal line on a play like that?

    I think the 12 team playoff saved Franklin's job for now. He won 2 playoff games and made it to the semifinal so it will appear to the fanbase that the program made progress this season rather than remain stagnant. This loss will be blamed more on Allar than Franklin.
