    Sweet and Sour Pork

    1lb pork shoulder, cubed
    1 cup drained pineapple chunks
    1 green pepper cut diagonally into 3/4 inch strips
    1/2 cup vinegar
    1/4 cup brown sugar
    3/4 cup chicken stock
    1 TBS molasses
    1/2 of a carrot thinly sliced

    Make battle by mixing a large beaten egg with 1/2 cup flour, 1/2 tsp salt, 4 TBS water

    Salt and pepper pork, dust with a bit of Chinese 5 spice, then coat pork with batter. Fry in oil till brown, drain and reserve.

    Heat to a low boil ingredients at top, then add 2 TBS cornstarch mixed into a 1/4 cup hot water. Add to pot lower heat and stir to thicken.

    Add pork, stir and combine, serve at once over rice or noodles.
