As I was looking at the stats earlier I was suprised to see that the leading rusher for several of Coach Bryant's years didn't have but four or five hundred yards.
For those who saw CBB's days - how did he distribute the ball in terms of the running game? Did he have a deep rotation at RB?

My recolection is that dur the "bone" years 6 or 8 different backs would carry the ball dur any one given game. Ground yardage would be spred amongst all these and a few yards for the qb. No opportunity or need for that matter for one back to pile up a lot of yardage. Two or three guys like Musso/Oglvie etc went through periods where they were the featured back but still the O was more ball control letting the D control the game. Thats my memory at least.
