Teams like Tulane and JMU are the kind of teams the P4 schools might schedule early in the season to use as tuneups for conference play.

The Big10 always talks bad about playing these teams and they even get to play them in the playoffs. We aren’t learning a thing about Oregon tonight in this game.

I would’ve even been fine with putting ND #11 and having a Tulane/JMU play-in game if we have to have G5 representation. It’s what NCAAB does for teams of this caliber in that sport.

They have a lot of money on the defensive line, much more physical on defense than JMU, probably more physical than Indiana. And IU stymied Oregon in Eugene.

I think Lanning wanted to score 50+ points there. I could tell on their first TD he wanted to run up the score tonight when he tried the trick 2-point try.
