One Mr. Gidley, I believe, from the University, dropped BamaNation (or maybe one of the mods) a letter sometime last year forbidding the display of any copyrighted images on this website. The mods can elaborate on the specific repercussions and rules regarding posting of said material but the whole thing left a bad taste in most everyone's mouth.

I agree with what you say about no harm being done. I also can't understand how any of this could cause loss in revenue for the University. Do they have a pay-for-wallpaper website? C'mon Man!
