Nobody knows what really happened but hiring a coach accused of knowing about child rape and not reporting it is pretty serious. I understand your position of wanting to defend OSU’s decision to win at all costs by hiring Schiano but there’s plenty of evidence that shows Schiano knew, or should have known, about child rape and did what every other coach did at PSU during that time..

Selma will probably remember but we had a massive discussion around that situation when it broke. I remember something about Schiano turning white with shock when seeing what Sandusky was doing. I believe it may have been here say but almost sure his name was in the testimony.
 
Schiano was at Rutgers when the initial McQueary discovery was made wasn't he? I'm not saying he's 100% innocent but I've never heard anything that makes me think he's guilty of anything.

That's kind of a preposterous and slanderous position to take. You don't actually believe every PSU coach in the 80s and 90s knew about it, do you?
 
So, using Google I discovered that McQueary testified that Bradley said that Schiano told him that he saw something (Sandusky in the shower with a boy). If true this is horrible, but neither Bradly nor Schiano verified this testimony. In fact, both have denied it completely under oath.

You guys know how much I dislike PSU for what happened there, and for the cover-up that has taken place since. I am just not sure that this is about that at all. They don't want Schiano so they are willing to drag his name through the mud to keep him away.
 
I’ll just say this - if Alabama tried to hire Schiano I’d be just as outraged as the UT fan base. Wouldn’t want him close to the Alabama program. If you guys would welcome Schiano with open arms to the Alabama program then more power to you but I would not and can understand why other fans feel the same way..

Sorry, this is totally false. There is only McQueary's testimony offered in his suit with PSU in which he essentially said that EVERYONE at PSU knew. McQueary accused everyone else to assuage his own guilt for waiting as long as he did.

It is not a part of it. They want "more" and they got Schiano. I understand their disappointment, but this is a smear campaign to stop the hire, not a legitimate protest of Schiano's actions.

Sorry, this is totally false. Again, I understand you wanting to defend your school but that doesn’t change what happened..
