I know we'll post this a lot throughout the season, so maybe we can use one thread as catch it all? Just an idea.

Source: https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft...ound-as-teams-look-for-next-franchise-passer/

Round 1 Pick 7: Patrick Surtain II (ATL)
Round 1 Pick 8: Jaylen Waddle (Miami)
Round 1 Pick 12: Dylan Moses(Det)
Round 1 PIck 17: Devonta Smith (Cel)
Round 1 Pick 22 Mac Jones (Chicago)
Round 1 Pick 25 Christian Barmore (Tenn) **added it because I left him out by accident.
Round 1 Pick 29: Alex Leatherwood (PIT)

I still think Najee is late first round pick but early 2nd round pick.

Najee's draft stock is definitely going up and if he keeps it up it will continue to do so.

Ugh. I hope Mac doesn't end up in Chicago.

Until he returns to somewhat of his old form, pre-injury, I’d swap Najee and Moses. Maybe still to early for Najee to go that high but I definitely think he has played his way into the first round. His pass catching is what will lure teams towards him.

I’d like to see Mac go to a team that can utilize his pocket passer style. Maybe Patriots or Titans.

Barmore still needs some time to develop more consistency as an every down player and then I think he could be a 1st rounder.

Agree with all of the other picks.

Mac needs to be in pro spread offense. He's not a runner. I could see him going to Jax ?

Agreed. Prior to Cam with the Patriots, I was thinking of Brady and how Ryan Tannehill is playing having a great O-line.

Would be cool seeing Mac playing with C. Rob as his LT.

I have a hard time believing that Mac Jones or Dylan Moses will go round one at this point. But I've been wrong plenty of times before.

Moses is starting to play faster. If he continues to play with confidence, he is exactly what the NFL is looking for in an ILB now. But he can't regress to his play from earlier this season.

As for Mac - keep playing like he is right now and he will be a slam dunk 1st rounder. There are a ton of really bad QBs starting in the NFL right now.

Someone who is very familar with Defense said Mose played much better Saturday night and he just need to keep trusting himself. I don't see anyone on D beside Moses getting drafted at this point. Ray won't probably go until later in rounds and that's not ideal for him.

Surtain will go in the 1st round. - probably first 10 picks.

I agree if Moses continues to play better he could end up in the first round. I just kinda meant if the draft was today, I'm not 100% he would.

Mac, I think its possible and I'm just a fan (not a scout) but he has the best WRs, one of the best OLs, top 3 RB, and one of the best OCs in the business. IIRC he is throwing to open receivers more than anyone else in college football.

Mac doesn't have an elite arm, he's not very mobile, and while he throws a pretty deep ball and has been accurate much of the season I'm not sure he has Burrow level accuracy. Basically, Mac lacks the "ability to create for himself" trait.

Also, guys like Lawrence, Fields, Trey Lance, and BYUs QB are all set to come out and all of them have much more impressive physical tools than Mac (specifically the ability to throw from awkward angles) and that's where my doubts about Mac as a 1st rounder come in.

To be clear I love Mac and would love for him to prove me wrong once again by playing himself into a 1st rounder. I just have my doubts right now but again I'm just a fan.

Keep in mind that there are usually 3 QBs taken in the first round each year. He does not have to be Trevor - he just needs to be in the top 3.

If he does not get a 1st round grade, he will likely come back.

I could be wrong, Mac is playing at an extremely high level right now and just had a great game vs arguably the best defense in the country. I just think the physical tools will scare some teams away when compared to the other QBs who may come out. It's not just Trevor its Fields, Trey Lance, and the BYU guy.

And he might come back and I wouldn't be sad about it. I still think he'll be an early round pick I just don't know about 1st rounder. Either way I'm excited that he is our QB right now

The only thing about all that is that he's hitting these WRs in stride. So the passes are great passes, whether these guys are open or not. And he did just ring up over 400 yards on one of the best defenses in the country. Much of the time their DBs were draped off our WRs. He had pressure in his face several times. But I get it that he's surrounded by maybe the most talented offense in the country.

You never really know. There has been some real head scratcher first round QB picks for about a decade now.

I wonder if Miami will ask Tua who he would prefer between Waddle and Smith? It would be interesting to hear his answer. I'm guessing Devonte.
They have a WR similar to Smith in Parker. They need Waddle for a speed guy but I understand what you’re saying and somewhat agree
