They may have trouble finding 12 teams to put in the playoffs. The ACC went to possibly 3 teams making it down to 1. The Big 12 about the same might get 1. Boise State most likely is in then Notre Dame and Army winner will get in unless they stumble somewhere. It might be 4 SEC teams and 4 Big 10 teams along with those 4.

Moving forward, we're likely to see more middle of the conference tyes raise up to beat the supposed blue bloods. They don't have as much talent, but since they won't be making such extensive use of the portal, they'll have more continuity.
