Game Thread: 2024 Week 10: Misc. Games catchall for your bye week.

Day didn't start out that great in terms of results helping clear Alabama's path but then things got pretty good late. The South Carolina game was really helpful and the ACC and Big 12 chances of a second playoff team both took a big hit.

Moving forward, we're likely to see more middle of the conference tyes raise up to beat the supposed blue bloods. They don't have as much talent, but since they won't be making such extensive use of the portal, they'll have more continuity.

That's also where a lot of those seven year COVID players are still hanging around.

They should get

Well, since you’re totally bereft of knowledge, please let everyone know the science as it relates to cramps……..
All I was saying is they can come at any time. There’s no such thing as “too late in the season to get cramps”.

I live near Clemson and would love nothing more then SC boatracing them. Clemson fans are some of the worst around here, the Georgia fans are better sports then them.

Vandy LB trolls the HELL out of Auburn...

After the game, Vanderbilt linebacker Bryan Longwell—who tallied four tackles in the win—took to social media to roast Auburn's coaching staff for passing up on him as a recruit. Longwell posted a text thread from December 25, 2022 from a Tigers coach, who informed Longwell that Auburn did not intend on taking a high school linebacker in the recruiting class.

"Bryan I'm sorry buddy we're not going to sign a HS LB in this class more than likely. You're a great player with a bright future! Hope you and yours have a Merry Christmas!" the text said.

Longwell posted the screenshot of the text, with the caption, "Merry Christmas!!" after the Commodores captured the win on Saturday.

USCe has a legit defense overall. It’s their offense that is constantly holding them back this year.
Work with someone who is an South Carolina grad. He's convinced if they still had Rattler and Legette they'd be a top 5 team this year

There's more talent on more teams now than ever before. Call it parity or whatever. But it's there. There's a lot more talent coming out of high school than ever before. Add in NIL and the Portal, and we're seeing more and more good teams capable of beating "blue bloods" and high ranked teams. Just look at Vandy. Huge difference between last year and this year. And after losing by 2 to Bama, S. Carolina came back and beat Oklahoma and Texas A&M. With four games left in the regular season, there are no more undefeated SEC teams. They have been beating up on each other. And we see it elsewhere with upsets. And there's also a lot of good top notch coaches. And that matters.

Maybe. I don’t think they would have lost to us or LSU if they were more competent on offense. I’m kinda surprised that they performed a huge beatdown on aTm, but not shocked that they beat them.

Right now I think the SEC is one great team and 2-3 very good teams. I think it’s more likely you have more B1G teams in the playoffs than SEC because too many SEC teams are getting owned by weaker competition in inexplicable ways. I mean do we really think Tennessee and Vanderbilt are really that good?
