A.C. Carter

I've heard conflicting things about his state of health, so I'm not going to repeat them. It's probably one of those questions that won't be answered until practice, or even the season, starts...

i would love to see him back and playin but i just dont think its gonna happen. hope it does tho but somethin tells me he wont make it back...not for lack of tryin tho and he is a good kid..just a shame that injury has cost him what it has

I mentioned this earlier on the "Wesley Britt" topic:

I talked with Antonio Carter a couple days ago and he told me that would "100% for sure" be back on the filed this season. He said that his leg is fine. I told him that we would all be pulling for him.

Of course it could be wishful thinking on his part, but I sure felt better hearing him say it.

RTR!!!

On Crimsontradition.com Matt Miller discussed the AC situation and he said that right now AC is running and doing well. However, he said that nobody will know for sure until he actually practices.

God willing AC will be back and have a great senior season! I really hope he can go out on a good note for himself as well as the team...they both deserve it. It really hurt me and I'm sure him last year at the first game when everyone thought he was going to dress and possibly play and then we saw him on the sidelines...that sucked!

Coach Sparky Woods recently spoke to a group of us Bama fans at a dinner here at the Downtown Hyatt Hotel in Greenville, SC - I attended the dinner - After he spoke he opened up the floor for questions - One of the questions was about A.C. - Coach Woods said that every x-ray & doctor's report gives A.C. a green light to play this season, that he has a better chance to play this year then he's ever had since the injury, but they won't know anything for certain until he gets out of the field this fall. Coach Woods went on to say that right now their hopes are very high and are believing that A.C. will be able to play.

I'm sure there'll be a confidence factor to overcome. I know how I felt, coming back to basketball after ACL recon. It was a long time before I trusted it fully or before it felt natural. Then, when I went back to downhill skiing, I went through the "quivers" all over again...
