I understand the the thought process behind kicking. I just did not agree.

Our only chance was to onside kick, it was the only way to get the ball back. We had not stopped them all day. If we don't recover the onside kick, we still have 3 TO and the 2:00 TO, same as kicking it away. We still have a chance to stop them. Worse field position, but we can go the length of the field quickly. The opportunity of getting the ball back with the onside (given we have not stopped them) outwieghs the field position. Gotta try and steal the possession and onside kick IMO. We had to get the ball back to score and the best chance was to onside kick as low as the chance was.

The last few minutes of the game is a good snapshot of why I have no confidence going into games with South Carolina, UT, Mizzou, UT, LSU and OU.

Under Saban we might lose to a perfectly matched opponent, but we weren't (or very rarely) out-schemed, out-coached and out-played. And the tacky antics by our players was just plain disgusting.
