A quick message from a Dude from TN...

To be honest I HATE 10RC, always have always will. The only problem is that I'm a Dooley fan also, afterall Vince Dooley was born and raised in Mobile, AL.

No one with class would accept a job at Tennessee. Until Tennessee officially apologizes for its role in nearly wiping Alabama Football off the map, the University as a whole will never regain any amount of class that it may have had.

I wouldn't go work for Al-Qaeda because the pay is good. People have been mentioning how "classy" Dooley is. I don't care how class he may have been; once he put on that orange tie, any and all class he may have had flew out the window.

While UT and all her supporters are certainly dropping in prestige and relevancy by the minute, I'll show none of the graciousness or pity displayed by a few of my Crimson Tide brethren until I'm positive UT has reached the very bottom of the pit it has dug for itself.

Until that time, the monkey urine stained rabble of Tennessee may repeatedly procreate themselves.

VolFan1. This will probably not help much but I can tell you how a few UT leaders are reacting. Understand though that UT athletics are pretty much run by the President, the AD, and, to a degree, by a very few influential boosters.

My pretty much unassailable info is that several UT Trustees (most of those with any interest and influence whatever in athletic affairs):

Think the rush to hire a coach because of recruiting issues was probably ill advised.

Think now that it is done, a reasonably good choice was made.

Are satisfied to give the new staff 2 years to demonstrate a path to improvement has been clearly undertaken.

Believe Mike Hamilton as AD and Dooley as HC should be secure in their jobs for 2 years and probably more like 4.

If such thinking is relatively pervasive among UT leaders and boosters, your school should now have a stable program that will have the opportunity to rise or fall based on its progression.

Best wishes, but I still hope to beat UT by at least 50 for several years.:)
Thanks. I agree with your post...well, all but the last line :)

Many here are stating that they can not forgive Tennessee for their actions. That's fine. I did not come here asking for forgiveness. I came here to say thank you to many that have posted on Tennessee boards with class. As I will do here. Everyone has there opinion and can freely state it. As is all I have tried to do here.

I for one appreciate the attitude. I definitely think the NCAA treated us unfairly in the way it handled the Memphis/Logan Young mess, and I STILL hate the NCAA more than ANY institution because of the way it deals with infractions and penalizes the entire school instead of the perpetrators when there's a penalty to be handed out. The people buying and selling players should've been punished, and not the whole school, as should always be the case, as the kids and fans who are 99.9999999% innocent should never suffer for the wrongs of such a small few. That said, I'll hate UT on the field, during our game each year (because it's the right thing to do, lol---and that neon orange is FUGLY, heh), but otherwise, with Dooley as Coach (or "Coarch" as our lovely Tracy Woolfson likes to say, lol) I'll honestly be pulling for you guys to rebound...but,

I think UT is about to be made an example of, along with U$C, though, and LK is about to get an expulsion from the coaching ranks for some, and maybe all, time, Orgeron may get it as well. His attitude of "stick it in your face" and "I don't know the rules, and dont' CARE to know the rules" has rubbed too many people the wrong way too many times. He may think he's safe at U$C, but no more dangerous place could he have gone.

Could not agree with you more! I LOVE Tennessee and I bleed orange! But I think the worst is yet to come. I believe Tennessee is going to get hit hard. And if (when) it happens, hopefully Mike Hamilton will get looked at. He's the one who started a lot of this mess. I think they may very well try to make an example of Tennessee. Just wish they would hit Kiffin at least as hard!

I do not personally hate any fans of Tennessee but I would not relieve myself on Neyland Stadium if it were on fire with the AD,president and especially FAT Phil in it. I can't say what I'd really like to about the institution known as UcheaT as I would be permanantly kicked off this board. What y'all did was despicable and FAT Phil did it just to save his own cheating hide ( T-Martin ring a bell?). When the PTB that TRIED to kill Bama football off the field because they just couldn't do it on the field publically appologizes and the NZAA gives us back those scholarships then I might begin to be more respectful to the institution that is known as UCHEAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Other than that, welcome to the board.

Going against the tide a bit (forgive the choice of words...), I don't want the NCAA to "make an example of" TN. Reason: it will mean they are still willing to exercise their dictatorial power in whatever arrogant and whimsical means they choose. Yes, of course we know from experience they can do so. I just keep hoping for a world wherein all schools are treated equally when it comes to the NCAA. My view of the NCAA is they consider USC an unfortunate distraction from their desired focus on the SEC.

Fulmer succeeded in bringing down Bama via the NCAA route. Most TN fans celebrated through Bama's tough times. But Bama is back. TN struggled under Fulmer. Fired Fulmer ; hired Kiffin . Bama won a national championship this year. Kiffin shafted the heck out of TN.

Karma is good.
