ACC and PAC 12 Demise seems close (FSU officially stating intentions to fight ACC Grant of Rights… Clemson sues the ACC)

Pete Thamel, I think was correct in saying the B1G nor SEC will touch FSU until all legal action has concluded . Including preliminary indication FSU would be accepted into either conference . The fear of being caught up in a lawsuit is real.

I think neither touch them even when the dust settles. Their interests is if this has effects on the other member’s ability to leave.

FSU will have a difficult time trying to get in with the SEC because Florida and Georgia are automatic NOs. They have a bigger hurdle to get in than Texas did.

The AAU issue is serious. I think if B1G goes Florida man then it’s with Miami.
Yes , but they are close to being accepted. The B1G accepted Nebraska knowing there were issues. Hey , I guess if the B1G wants in Florida they can always take USF. A dyslexic FSU and already an AAU member. Miami is Not an AAU member.

Miami and Notre Dame became AAU this year.

The one thing I'm fairly certain of is that Notre Dame is in the Big Ten when all of this settles.

I think FSU is going to fall to the Big 12 in the end. I don't know what the SEC will do, but I'm certain they want no duplicate entries. Texas was a massive exception to that rule. So they'll go for North Carolina and Virginia and fight the Big Ten over those two. I could see the Big Ten bringing in Stanford to appease Notre Dame. The Big 12 will pick over the scraps, which likely includes FSU and Clemson.

You'll end up with something like a 24 team Big Ten, 18 or 20 team SEC, and a 24 team Big 12.

So would this be the penalty that UNC or UVA owes if they sought early withdrawal? If the money is paid who is it distributed to?

So do we end up with the Power 3, SEC, B10, B12?

George Paglieri (FSU): Gonna have to break the deal. It's raining on us right now, and I don't care what the dry ink says, we can't go on like this. For Pete's sake, whaddya think it'll cost to get a backdated permission to go?

Johny Sack (B1G): George, what the hell good does FSU do us? Ya not even AAU. (Lights a cigar).

Tony Soprano (SEC): Things ain't like the old days. You looking at a nine-figure buyout, and you think the other eight hands in the cookie jar gonna just sit back and take it? If you go - you go alone. We can't have anything to do with this.

George: I'm telling you, between the low endowment, this bad contract, getting screwed out of the playoff....

Tony (interrupting): Ay ay AY!! I don't wanna hear that crap about snubbin' again. You'z had ya chance years ago, I tried to tell you to take it. If you'd looked out for anyone besides ya-self all these years, you wouldn't be in this mess. You'd be a .500 club, but now you've set yourself up to be a .500 club with no money. We coulda been pottners, you and me, but you got greedy. So shut up and take it. And I don't wanna hear about this anymore.

Johnny (puffing on his cigar): I might can help you. The part I'm trying to figure out is why I'd want to help you.
