George Soros is their favorite boogey man. Most of their voters know zilch about him except what they've been told by people like DeSantis. I've heard from people who believe the most ridiculous things and have no earthly idea as to why Soros funds aid to immigrants. The things they don't know about people trying to come here to escape persecution and death and death camps would fill...a history book. The types of history books DeSantis voters want to ban.

I was arguing with someone about him years ago that swore up and down that Soros was a Nazi that funded and helped the Nazi's come to power

the last company I worked for closed it's operation in Palo Alto and informed several hundred people that their "Jobs are now in Austin TX and we won't be paying any relo expenses" so before you trumpet this as some sort "I told you so" you may want to look at the details on why people are moving out of Cali. For that company it was all about the fact that they could pay less. All of those people received a 20% pay cut to go along with the move. Many of them took it and went but not all.

Per usual, so much to be amused by.

It is interesting that you use an anecdote to counter the article. I thought anecdotes were frowned upon by the leftists here. I guess one's hypocrisy is also one's debating strategy. 🤷‍♂️

The article talks about young adults making over $200k/year. Making a little bit less in a place like Florida due to a lower cost of living is still a good deal. It was/is for my wife and me. It is for the people in the article and thousands more like them (and the hundreds of millions in wealth they bring into the state). If it wasn't, they wouldn't do it.

Back to your anecdote, it's funny that you are offended by a company deciding that they want to relocate to a state that offers a better business climate. I have no problem with that market decision. I have no problem with an employee deciding to relocate or stay. Who cares?

The only "I told you so" is that I knew in short order a leftist would try to say that thousands of people leaving places like New York and California for places like Florida and Texas is somehow something nefarious. As sure as day follows night So predictable. LOL!

Sasse opposed forgiving student loans when he was a Senator. Then he spends like a drunk sailor on shore leave when he gets his new job.

the reports of extremely expensive private parties with catered food and an ocean of booze were especially offensive given his stance towards student loans.
