BREAKING AJ McCarron named Stallions Head Coach

I wasn't aware that he was sort of toxic in that sense during the draft or during his short NFL career, but I could certainly see it.
I don´t know AJ personally but have watched him over the years as we all have. I also got to spend time on the field and see him up close and personal at practices during his time at Alabama and saw how he carried himself and even heard some things come out of his mouth I can´t post here nor would he want me posting on the internet. I say all that to say, AJ is a confident guy and has the proclivity to push the boundaries towards what would be considered cocky. He says his mind and doesn´t care if it hurts your feelings and part of that is what made him great and it also has caused him some of the problems he has had. It is a double edged sword but I think he will eventually grow out of it as he gets older and wiser and starts to realize that the world´s a big place and life can humble you.

He didnt handle his combine interviews and PR in the most humble manner. He didnt test during the combine. All in all made some poor decisions that set him back from future team leader imo.

I don't know anything about toxic. I do know that he helped coach a baseball team out at Westside park here in Mobile and their practice field use to be right next to the one my son practiced on and he was as nice as he could possibly be and would throw the football before and after practice or in breaks with any of the kids that wanted to and they loved him so...

I Just simply think AJ deserves more credit and more mention than he gets.
We were just so good, SO GOOD! on Defense. Coach Saban was much like Stallings. Why take a chance on losing a game if you could just play it safe and let the defense and running game win? We would have beaten LSU like a drum if he had tacken the handcuffs off AJ in the Tuscaloosa game. He didn't make the same mistake in the Championship rematch.

I understand that he was being protective of a young QB, as well. What if he puts the game in AJ's hands and he makes a mistake and loses the game? Small but real chance. AJ maybe gets crucified, loses his confidence. Team loses confidence that Saban believes they're tough enough. Saban never forgives himself. Just so many bad things to risk.

Until you lose 9-6.

AJ really grew with experience. By the team they got to ND in Miami the offense had expanded nicely.

Birmingham keeps playoff hopes alive

Stallions Lock Down Aviators Behind Gilmore’s Big Day

Looks like tickets were readily available.

It appears that the UFL has gotten rid of conferences and the top four teams go to the playoffs. 1 seed plays 4, 2 plays 3 and the winners play in the championship. Birmingham dug themselves a hole dropping to 1-4 but they have now won three in a row. Get in the playoffs and see what turns up...

The Stallions started the season with Matt Corral (late of Ole Miss) at QB. He did not play poorly, but the offense could best be described as "ineffective" with Corral at the helm. AJ, being a former QB himself, seemed reluctant to bench him, but eventually he pulled Corral and sent in Dorian Thompson-Robinson (late of UCLA) who has been more effective for the team. Thompson-Robinson is a good bit more mobile than Corral and has a decent arm.
