Bama moving up 1 spot is awesome!! the coach's poll says a lot about what they think of Bama.

I am still trying to figure out how VT is in the Top 10. they have gone unnoticed for the most of the season for a good reason.

"Assuming" we move up to 3rd in ALL of the computers (which is possible with OU idle) -- we'd still be 3rd in the BCS - but move up to .915. Okie State will be about 9.65, and LSU should stay at .993

When the Math Nerds become more important than the Coaches -- we may have "jumped the shark" with the BCS.

I know they are all worth 1/3 -- but I'd argue that because they take the "emotion" out of the equation -- and without the reason behind the W/L records -- in some ways they have become more important.

Coaches have VT ahead of Clemson. I really don't care, but didn't Clemson stomp VT in Blacksburg?

The scary thing I see about that is Oregon at #4 and Oklahoma at #5. If Oklahoma beats #2 Oklahoma State it is very easy to imagine them hopping Bama in the polls, especially if we fail to win impressively. If they don't then Oklahoma State will finish undefeated (since there is no longer a Big 12 Championship Game) and we have no chance.

Make it scarier - USC could beat Oregon and then we have no buffer. Of course, this means that the piggies move up in the polls, which further helps our SoS.

Looks like it will come down to the last week of the season.

I still think Bama losing to LSU weighs more heavily than OUs loss to Texas Tech -- I just don't seem them jumping us. We have a pretty solid ranking -- most would move us up to 2, if OU beats OSU.....

The biggest (and most fun in the big picture) would be if Ark beats LSU -- then it will be fun and nuts trying to figure it all out --

something that maybe we're overlooking is the computer rankings. They had us above Stanford even when we had 1 loss. I think that even if OU were to get the #2 spot in the coaches poll, we would be right behind them and the computers would put us at #2 in the BCS.

What about Oregon? They are in the driver's seat to win the PAC-12 now. Which to me means even when OU beats Okie State and the ducks take the first PAC-12 championship game they will probably jump us just because they won a weak conference. What stinks is that the computers reward big offense i.e. Okie State, and not great D like we have.

The Harris Poll is out: 1. LSU 2. Oklahoma St. 3. Alabama 4. Oregon 5. Oklahoma 6. Arkansas 7. Stanford 8. Clemson 9. Virginia Tech

LSU was a unanimous 1 in the Harris poll just as they were in the Coaches' Poll. I expect the BCS standings to mirror the Harris poll 1-5.

Funny how Gawga beating the snot out of the Barn did little for them, we are positioned where anything could happen, Arky is good enough to beat the Convicts, USC just may have enough magic to Roast Duck, & OU blast the cowgirls. We just gotta keep winning.
