Man, there are some staggering numbers in that article:

Saban’s 125 (125-14) wins over the past decade are the most for any FBS school during a 10-year span in the Associated Press poll era (since 1936). Since 2008, Alabama has played just three regular-season games in which it hasn’t been in contention for the national championship – the final three regular season games of the 2010 season – a staggering 118 of 121 games. The Crimson Tide has appeared in each of the first four College Football Playoffs and has had a total of 37 players win 42 first-team All-America honors during his tenure. The Tide has also seen 77 players selected in the NFL Draft since 2009, including 26 first round picks. Those numbers are all the best in the nation during that span.

Over the past 11 seasons, Saban's teams have also excelled in the classroom with a graduation progress rating of 984 that ranks second in the SEC and 11th in the NCAA. The Crimson Tide had 25 players compete in the most recent CFP National Championship Game in January after already earning their degree. A total of 126 players have competed in postseason play with a degree in hand over the last five seasons, which is the most in the country.

Since the first NC in 2009:

Overall: 113-12 90.4%
SEC: 68-9 88.3% (3 of the 9 losses in one year)

Ranked: 51-12 80.9%
Top 10: 25-7 78.1%
Top 5: 14-5 73.7%
Num 1: 6-1 85.7%

SEC champ.: 5-0
BCS and playoffs: 8-2, including 5-1 in NC games.

He can make as much as he wants for as long as he cares to stay.

From any perspective -- football, the Athletic Department, the University of Alabama, the city of Tuscaloosa, or the state of Alabama -- Nick Saban's compensation is the best bargain any of them have ever struck. Ever.

He won't be Bobby Bowden, limping into the dark night. He'll hang it up when he still has gas in the tank. And when he does, it was, all things considered, the best ride in college football.

Ever.

You have to remember where we were on 12/31/2006 - a used-at-be program.

If it ends today, I'll be sad. But I'll also be grateful.

You may very be correct, but, if he stays relatively healthy & he looks mighty healthy right now, I could see him living out his contract & retire from Bama Football leaving coaching records that will never be approached or broken..JMHO

I don't know...he is the youngest 66 year-old guy I've ever seen. He's been money for us for a decade and I sure hope he has another one in him. He very well might.
