"Alabama Fixes Its Problem"

Let's see who is hired as the replacement and how he does. . . then let's talk.

Looking forward to seeing how he's treated, too.

Sorry, he lost me with "Shula is a symbol of failure" and a 12 page paragraph. This was not at all balanced or fair to Shula, just like the other articles that vilify Moore while granting Shula sainthood.

No matter who we hire and how he's treated, Mike Shula will still be a loser, and thus, the decision to fire him will still be the right one.

Re: "Alabama Fixes Its Problem" (link)

this was a good paragraph and got right to the point. this reporter wasn't afraid about shula reading this one.

But also i dont know if firing him was the right thing to do. I mean, at first we heard he was going to stay another year, and then he gets fired?:conf3:

Yea there are all kinds of articles out reflecting on how smart this move was...

What most fail to realize here is that a lack of depth can be detrimental to a football program. Three and a half years ago, how many people on here were predicting we we would win as many games as we have at this point?

Regardless of paul finebalm's brainwashing, we have had serious problems with our overall numbers for the last 5 years. Not a lot of coaches could have done better than Shula in that period and even less were willing to try.

I agree. Thanks to coach Shula for leading us out of the probation. Now it is time to hire a coach to lead us to the top. Unfortunately CMS was not that coach.

It is exactly what I have been saying since his first season. Now where are all the "sunshine pumpers"?
