He is going to be all in on LANK again next year. That does more damage than folks realize. There is a reason for the doubt. Fix that, then brag.If he's not willing to change...100%!

I don’t like the thought of having to go to camp Randall game 2 with a new quarterback but I wouldn’t be totally opposed to it at this point.Being honest, the best thing that could happen for Alabama would be Milroe leaving for the draft. If he stays, he has to win the job or the locker room will be destroyed, and that is no way to run a team.
I think it's game 3. We've got Western Ky and USF first two games at home. I understand your point, but with those first two games at home a lot of good can/should happen IF there's a change.I don’t like the thought of having to go to camp Randall game 2 with a new quarterback but I wouldn’t be totally opposed to it at this point.
yeah, you only get one year to pull out that acronym. He is going to be all in on LANK again next year. That does more damage than folks realize. There is a reason for the doubt. Fix that, then brag.
He also won us games. Last night, the competition got better. The opposing coaching got better. Our yearlong flaws were exposed. Everybody looked a step slow, and Michigan turned out to be a much better team than most of us ever imagined. The things Milroe does bad you can’t learn in college. You learn in 8th grade football maybe high school but you either know it or you don’t. Can’t read a coverage can’t find a blitz can’t check down. Great athlete but cost us games.
In tough situations guys like Milroe revert to talent over teaching. What's weird is i feel like JM improved, but he also seemed to regress the last few games. Maybe some defensive adjustments to exploit his weaknesses?
I dont agree that they were better than we thought....with the domination on the line and the lack of offense from us they should have been ahead 2 or 3 TDs at least if they were an elite team..but they were average on offense. Our mistakes and one or two fortuitous bounces got them their points by sustaining drives etc....thats why even an average offensive performance would have been enough for us to win this game..ifs and buts as they say but i dont think UM is that greatHe also won us games. The End.
Were it not for the disparity in special teams play, the point gap would have been far greater. On every other front, Michigan was the better team.I dont agree that they were better than we thought....with the domination on the line and the lack of offense from us they should have been ahead 2 or 3 TDs at least if they were an elite team..but they were average on offense. I think Saban learned with the Hurts/Tua situation, but he has to be willing to do it again. I know people didnt have as much confidence in Simpson, but there were many situations where Milroe missed open receivers, didnt get rid of the ball when he needed to and one or two glaring situations where he should have just tucked it an ran for his life...................I hope there is an open QB competition in the Spring, and I hope all of them are given a fair shot at it, because I think Milroe has hit his ceiling and wont go higherI agree with this. It’s puzzling to me why UGA didn’t pressure us more. Our OL looked great partly because of the scheme Georgia ran against us.
Look, when your QB can’t throw a slant, can’t throw a screen, can’t throw short balls, can’t find an outlet RB, can’t ever see the TE, can’t change plays at the line against the blitz, and can’t read an RPO, then you’re going to have trouble with defensive pressure. Your OL looks bad, and your play calling looks bad. Maybe they’re just handicapped by the play of the QB. Milroe had 116 yds passing in this game. Not in a qtr, not in a half, in the game. He’s consistently late delivering the ball to his receivers. And his mechanics are poor - he’s all arm, and tends to throw off of his back foot constantly.
BoB has forgotten more about football than we know. He thinks Milroe isn’t a QB. Argue with him if you want to. I’m hoping Sayin or Lonergan looks great, and Saban isn’t too stubborn to play somebody else next year.
I don't think JM has hit his ceiling, but I also don't think he deserves to learn how to bet better "on the job" next year.I think Saban learned with the Hurts/Tua situation, but he has to be willing to do it again. Either you see the field or you don't. Jay Barker had a famous moment at practice where the clouds parted. But most QBs at this stage don't undergo a miraculous transformation. Whatever progress Jalen makes from here on out is far more likely to be by degrees. That said, he still may be the best option in the room. He clearly had won the locker room. Will he keep it?I think Saban learned with the Hurts/Tua situation, but he has to be willing to do it again. I'm not confident those issues can be fixed quickly.................its just an opinion, but I think he's set in his ways and taking the Frank Sinatra route aint gonna cut it. I think he needs to work his tail off, but also be given the understanding that there are others behind him and they will be given a shot at winning itI don't think JM has hit his ceiling, but I also don't think he deserves to learn how to bet better "on the job" next year.
He's got flaws that 10th grade QBs struggle with. He needs to either make incredible improvement in the off season* OR take his Covid year and sit and learn how to be a real QB. If he tries to play thru it at Bama I don't think it'll end with what we want next year.
*I'm not sure there is enough time to fix the fundamental issues he struggles with like reading defenses/vision/timing in one off season. I think he's mile behind where Hurts was at this stage of his time at Bama. And it has to start with learning how to read the RPO as the defensive end takes him or the running back. He can't even do that yet.
Good question.................cant speak for him, but if it were me, I'd work my butt off and go into spring and try to wrest the position away from him. I think every other QB on the roster has a high ceiling and could potentially beat him outSo how soon does Ty Simpson announce he's hitting the portal?
Does what he saw last night give him pause OR is his mind made up?
