Saban wanted players to do the little things right as much as possible before they played. I think it was a valid philosophy but it's definitely not the only one or the only way to be successful. So I think some of the time the loyalty was really wanting the younger player who may be more talented to do specific things better. For example does the RB pass block, does he follow the right hole, etc.
I am curious to see where DeBoer lands on the spectrum though. I think what will be telling is how much playing time guys like Odom and maybe Ryan Williams get at WR
I will be very surprised if RW doesn’t get on the field sooner vs later.
He’s just crazy explosive and is a threat to score on any given touch.
He’s really young obviously so he could take a bit to develop.
But if he picks things up somewhat fast it will be very hard to keep him off the field.
Plus as Padre alludes we are entering a time where you have to get guys that talented some meaningful playing time or the danger of them looking for greener pastures (double meaning) is real.
