Did I hear this right in football season that the cadets at TAMU have no connection to the actual military or ROTC?
Performance thus far not surprising. We had a grinding OT game on Wednesday. TAM had an easy game on Tuesday. Our team is approaching burn-out. Need rest both mentally and physically.Miller has been the most consistent since all this started, and one would think he would’ve been most affected by it. It’s everyone else that just hasn’t been good. At all.
What it is now is that you don't have to accept a commission after graduation if you're in the cadet corp. So basically 4 years of playing dress up.Did I hear this right in football season that the cadets at TAMU have no connection to the actual military or ROTC?

They we're basically like the Citadel or VMI. When CGS was head coach there he was recruiting to an all male military school during the Vietnam War. No great pickinsThey used to be all male, all military...
That was a big factor in coach Bryant leaving there, because they were about to go all male...They we're basically like the Citadel or VMI. When CGS was head coach there he was recruiting to an all male military school during the Vietnam War. No great pickins

I'll check that. In any case, it was a factor in his leaving. I was a freshman when he moved...They were all male when CPB was there

ETA - they don't have to take any ROTC classes after their first 3 semesters
