Right-on....as long as we're 1-2 scores up early in 3Q, agree DeBoer should put Ty in for the remainder of the game with 1st team. BTW, Milroe indeed is on performance interview for day one vs day two NFL draft. UM did stop him by and large in Rose Bowl, though JM was operating under T.Rees / OC whose lousy play calling coldntributed to his off day. For that matter, OC Sheridan is probably interviewing on the field today with his play call schemes for next year's job vs having another "OU" performance....ouch. Sure would like to see many more 1st down pass plays and less designed Milroe runs, too often horizontal. Attacking their weak secondary with quick reads will be key. We really should wear down their star-deprived DL and depth-poor OL in 2nd half. RTR!

Both CTR and Sheridan are plenty capable of knowing what could work against specific D schemes and alignments but are very limited in what they can actually call due to what JM can and can't do. Quick reads are NOT something JM does well, at least not consistently. That's been the biggest issue with the offense the last two seasons

I detest posting this, but if Milroe has even an "above average" game ... we win.

If JM plays just "average" or below....

Why do you detest saying it?

When Milroe is at his best, we're a very hard team to beat.

When he stinks, the team stinks.

It's seems to have been the central problem with him at QB, the entire fortunes of the team rise and fall almost solely on his performance.

The "irony" of JM being showcased (JessN's word) in this game is that if he struggles, as he did last time against UM, it'll be the last thing scouts will remember.

FWIW, it sounds like we are in better shape with transfers/opt outs than UM, so hopefully we can get a quick lead with our skill guys having an advantage and then maybe, just maybe, JM pulls a Cam Ward in the second half and we get a better glimpse of TS!

I just read an article that he's now projected as a second-rounder by many "experts", and possibly even a high third-rounder, for what that's worth.

And that's with a very, very poor class this year. I hope he goes and is wildly successful in the NFL. Heaven knows I've given up on predicting which QBs will thrive and which will crash and burn in the league. He'll have to learn to throw because I just can't see him running on NFL defenses without the legitimate threat of the pass.

What I would like to see the most is a GREAT game from Milroe. SO great that his agent will be urging him to declare for the draft, as I have a sinking feeling that he will remain at Tuscaloosa. He is a great kid and I thank him for his effort, but; it's time for us to move on at the QB position.

I agree with your sentiment, it’s time for a fresh start and different direction at QB . Mobile QB is good, running QB is limiting. Thank you Jalen for the past few years. Roll Tide!
