I don't like the hat trick much, whoever does it, or whoever they choose. I like Andre Smith, and I like the houndstooth, though.

Happy but....

Not a big fan of the hat, shirt, whatever thing. Old School I guess. Glad we got him. At least his hat thing was kinda different. Recruiting is way out there now a days. :biggrin2:

Well at least he didn't act like he was going to put on one of the other hats. He said goods things about each school and head coach and then he said they are all goods schools but they aren't the ones for me.

I would have to say most would agree that a houndstooth hat pick is classy. Unless you were an LSU, USC, Florida or Auburn fan of course. lol

What if he had 4 hats on table (Alabama, USC, Florida and Lsu) and then reached under the table to get the houndstooth hat.

Wonder how many people would have had a heart attack?

I'm not much on the hat thing, I expressed as much in another thread. However, that Hounds Tooth hat almost got me misty eyed, so I may just have to rethink my position. That hat reinforced what I have felt all along, these kids today do look at tradition. All I've heard in the media the last few weeks is they only care about playing time, the NFL, and the like. I believe they are wrong, every kid in our 06 class is an attest to that.

im am glad this recruiting thing is over, now maybe my wife will stay off my butt about staying on the computer 24/7 congrats to ANDRE SMITH AND COACHING STAFF
 
Yeah, the hat and shirt thing is kind of getting old. Since we are in such a tech advanced age, and most high school kids have cell phones, how about having your phone ring and play the fight song of your school of choice during a press conference. That would be pretty neat. Has anyone pulled that before?

I'm sure the coaches soon will be looking at the 2007 recruiting class. It's a vicious cycle.
