Hate to say it but a fractured elbow takes a lot longer than 15 days to recover.
They're saying September at the earliest before he'll be back, if he returns this season at all. Frankly, if we're completely out of it by that point (which is pretty much already guaranteed), I wouldn't even risk having him throw another inning this season.

The plan is for Schwellenbach “not to throw” for 4 weeks minimum. I’m thinking more like a minimum of 6 weeks or more. Then, when he does start throwing, you can bet it will br cautious. Several weeks of rehab assignments as well.

I say shut him down and get him ready for 2026.

And after another early inning against the Angels tonight with runners in scoring position and less than two outs and unable to dent the scoreboard, I’m about ready to “shutdown” this entire Braves team.

I have had a fractured elbow. Now granted I also had a broken wrist and collarbone too at the time, but it took 2 months just to heal. Then another month of physical therapy.

I see Braves hitting coach Tim Hyers has now gone to the “close your eyes and swing hard in case you make contact” hitting technique.
