Annoying Radio Delay ... Here's the Fix

Try taking the easiest of routes . Call your local affiliate and ask the person who answers to reach over and turn the delay off . Most stations have fallen into the habit of leaving their delay on , but it's purpose is for live studio or remote broadcasts .

3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 or 9-pin configuration?

Heh... Go buy a new radio already!

Preferably, one that doesn't have tubes and doubles as the room heater.

:D

I just saw this smart remark. :D The Nordmende is the first generation of solid state. There's nothing I know of even made today which comes close. Eleven bands. I had to have an antenna put on it after breaking one and took it to the local German radio shop. When I picked it up, Dieter, pushed it across the counter to me and and said "Schönes Gerät (Beautiful machine)...

<standing and applauding the OP> i am truly impressed and hope all new posters can add to the useful knowledge base of this site (i'm still working on personally adding anything of value)

Its almost a MUST to listen to ELI.. and I have been fighting that awful delay for some time! I can't wait to try this. YOU ROCK!!

Great First post! *stomps* made mine look horrible...I should be mad. ;) NOW I have to find an internet radio station for Eli, and all will be right w/ the world.

Another way to accomplish this is to buy an extremely powerful sound system, place the speaker about 1 3/4 miles away. By the time the sound from the speakers reach your living room, it will be in sync.

I wouldn't even know how to begin to tell you how to fix the delay on yours, Earle.

Thanks again, everyone, for the positive feedback.
