Can't wait to see the spin on this one.

This also is a good example of why we need the electoral college. Without it, the candidates would only pay attention to the "tall" blue sections and few red sections and leave most of middle America to the whims of Washington.

Dang you are one bitter SOB!!! I am still waiting to see you spin this:

BUSH
286 Electoral Votes
VOTE % - 51%: VOTE - 59,459,765 (that is what you get when you add up all the "red" spikes)

KERRY
252 Electoral Votes
VOTE % - 48%; VOTE - 55,949,407 (that is what you get when you add up all the "blue" spikes)

Neat little graphic, but do you have a point to any of this whining about more people in cities voting for the loser?

Just out of curiosity, how do you know my posts are "knee jerk" if you ignore them? :rolleye2: I love how people who have no ligitimate point to make simply resort to insults instead of actual thoughtful debate. I guess Slab is simply not man enough to debate me legitimately. Typical.

So, Slab, let me get this straight....this map shows not only which counties voted for whom, but what percentage of the population did the voting, right? Looking at it I can't help but notice that the "percentage" part of the graph is vastly higher in the Detriot and Los Angeles areas than in New York City, despite that NYC has a greater over all population than those two combined.

What can this mean? I am not a "stat" guy, but it seems to me that it may be possible for NYC to eventually "go red" thereby rendering any Democratic candidate for Prez completely hopeless.

At the least the "reds" (an ironic moniker if I ever heard one) have the "blues" hemmed up in the big cities where they can only do harm to themselves and leave the running of the country to folk with better sense.

Help me out here bro.

I'm sorry, but what exactly does this map show? What's the relevance of the height of the county?
My guess is that Slabby is trying to show that his map reflects more closely that the nation is closer to a 50/50 split in terms of people. The maps where you see large areas of red and small areas of blue may lead one to think that the vast majority of the US is conservative. It is meaningless really as Bush clearly won the majority of the people by over 3 million votes; was the first president since his dad to get a clear majority; and received more votes than any other president in history. If, however, it makes Slabby feel more like a man to show more blue on his map than other maps, then let him have his cute little meaningless graphics.
