Question: any believers in mythical creatures?

Mountain Gorillas were considered as much of a fable as Bigfoot 100 years ago. Just saying. Also got the cela-whatever fish that was supposedly extinct for over 30million years. Not so fast..

Only a human is so arrogant so as believe that "we" are the only intelligent beings on this planet.
I also watched part of the documentary about mermaids. Since this planet is covered more by water than by land, it only makes sense that there would be a human-like being swimming around out there somewhere.

I agree 100% with Reb..There's things out there that's prolly been here a lot longer than us & have had millions of years to perfect hiding from us..

Isn't it thought by some that "man" originally came from the sea? If that is so, why then is it so difficult to believe that there are other man-like creatures still in the sea?

I don't know about all of the paranormal or cryptozoology animals, but there has to be something to the Bigfoot thing.

Too many people have claimed to seen one. There are hundreds of sighting stories on different BF websites.

I just don't believe that many people would fake or lie about it.

And yes, I'm totally sucked into the Finding Bigfoot and all the other Bigfoot shows.

these people are not necessarily liars or fakers, but possibly just mistaken. They most likely saw a bear and their minds just allowed them to believe they saw bigfoot. People see what they want to see. The mermaids sightings are seals most likely. The only way I will ever believe these are true is if I see it with my own eyes. No blurry photo, nothing out of the corner of my eye.

also, being in the woods alone, especially at dusk or in the dark, can lead to your eyes, ears and mind fooling you.

The mutations beneficial to aquatic creatures are dramatically different than those beneficial to terrestrial creatures, and the ancestors of man that lived in the sea looked nothing like modern man millions of years later. It's like why you don't find toilet paper on trees (in most places)

I understand exactly what your saying. However when I look at the Patterson-Gimlin film, to me it's as plain as the nose on my face that is not a fake.

But I certainly admit it's possibly a well done fake.

I think you missed my point. So look at it like this. A few years ago there was a study done on canines. Through DNA testing, it was opined that every member of all the breeds of dog in the entire world came from a single pair of canines that lived many thousands of years ago. As they bred, they mutated, cross-bred and eventually evolved into the many different species that we have today.
The same may be true of mankind. You have the terra(homo)-sapien, and the aqua(hydro)-sapien. :wink:

So the guy claims he made the suit but he can't prove it? So do I even have to say that maybe the guy is lying for publicity? If you say Patterson and Gimlin and others can be lying, why not this guy?

On your same Wiki link, you didn't even mention the people who were saying it's a possibility, such as Anthropologist Grover Krantz who said it is a genuine unknown creature.

And Professor Jeffrey Meldrum from Idaho State University who has been studying the possibility of Bigfoot's existence for many years.

I'm not saying for sure they exist, I'm just saying I'm open to the possibility.
