Any guess how much BCS title tickets in Pasadena will cost in the secondary market?

Just curious how much would one ticket cost out in Pasadena if Bama wins the rest of their games. Looking to go out there by myself as I know I still have to get a plane ticket. I know tickets were expensive last season in Miami, as traveling wasn't an issue but I know that will be factored into the equation when flying out to Los Angeles from the Southeast as that's how I see it, thinking that it will lower the price of tickets in the secondary market. Thoughts????

It is a bigger venue than the other BCS spots so there will be more tickets available. So, that should help with price.

Assuming demand is at least the same as Bama/Texas, count on paying at least double face value. That would be for the least desireable seats, and increase in cost from there.

You could deduce roughly the same thing from Teamtix. FlaSt buyers are now willing to pay $400 for the right to buy a $325 end zone ticket.

It will also depend on who the teams are; i.e, would Baylor create the same demand as FlaSt or Bama? Bottom line, I guess I would budget 2 - 3 times face value and then shop around.

I'm hoping Baylor makes it to the game; they don't have a big fan base so there'll be a ton of tickets on the market for us (hopefully keeping prices lower).

Believe I got my 2009 single for around $750 off ebay. Endzone about 7 rows up but its in a hole so everyone stood on the bleachers to see. Once at the stadium there were scalpers just trying to get face value from what i could tell. Not many people will chance going cross country without tix. 2011 Lsu was in the $1200 range. Notre Dame was in the $950 area.

I wonder that team would make tickets the cheapest. I'd think FSU would be the most expensive, then maybe Baylor/Stanford.

Ohio State fans wouldn't bother showing up, right? I mean, they're not delusional, are they?

You are almost always better off get your tickets as late as your nerves allow for. I would say always, but the crazy run on tickets for Auburn-Oregon in 2010/11 is the only qualification, and that won't happen this year.

The most expensive ticket as far as Alabama fans would be concerned is probably Bama-FSU. Ohio St and Stanford (because of location) would be close, but ignore all of this if it is Baylor because those tickets would be nothing.

Right after this game is set, endzone tickets will probably be near $800-1,000. Once all of the tickets start getting mailed out by the schools and the bowl itself for those that have team ticket reservations, the prices will start to fall. If you can bring yourself to wait until 7-10 days before the game, you can get a great deal. I remember multiple people outside of the Rose Bowl against Texas trying to sell their extras for face value and getting no takers. The reason for that is no one is going to travel that far and not have a ticket.

Good luck in your hunt, but don't buy anything before Christmas.

WHAT?!?! I don't think that's right. I've seen the pics of the rose bowl and it is literally that, a bowl, like a little bit bigger than what I eat my cereal out of. That place is supa-mega tiny.

I agree. I've been twice and was not impressed with the stadium at all. I think we paid around 700 for the nc game there.

Its much bigger than both Sun Life Stadium and The Superdome by like 20,000 extra seats. Holds about 93,000. Bigger than it looks. :)

Had I taken the time to use the google machine I probably could have found those things you just used in your statement (facts). That being said, I cannot believe it's that big. It looks like something from a community college. Crazy.

Lol. In the time it took you to try and correct my post you could have googled it.

It looks that way because it's old. Aisles are far apart, resulting in possibly having to step over 30 or more people in your row if you "have to go." Then, to "go" you have to walk through a tunnel, outside the stadium where the restrooms are. Seats are tight. The field is far away. There have been some renovations since 2009, but it's basically the same.

I can't wait to go back.

In 2009 I didn't see many scalping tix outside the stadium but, the ones I did see were asking face value or less. The past 2 years right after they were mailed until around Xmas eve you could find them for $700-$750 via ebay/stub hub/ticket city etc. They spiked back up to over $1000 and stayed there the day after Xmas. I don't see FSU or O.S.U. travelling any better than Texas so, I wouldn't pay more than $400-$450... If Baylor is the opponent, I'd lower that to no more than $50 over face value...

The Rose Bowl is a fantastic venue. If you have not been, you do not know how to appreciate it. January 2010 for the 2009 BCSC was great!

Having said that, since I have been, it is not worth the cost to go again.

That may be another factor in the cost of the tickets. If we make it, it will be our third straight and fourth in five years. We've been so many times we have already cycled through the venues.

Bama fans have been to the Rose Bowl, so the wow factor of just going to the stadium is over for a lot of people.

We went to the Rose Bowl last time because we figured it might be another 10 or 20 years before our next NC game. Little did we know the great run that had started! We could not afford tickets to the LSU game, but we stretched to go to the ND game because we wanted so bad to see the Good Guys beat ND.

If we go to this one, it will be to see the historic three-peat. If it's against FSU, so much the better. I've hated them since the last time we played them, in Jacksonville. Worst ball game of my life. Revenge will be sweet.
