AP All-America Team: Britt Third Team

I know I'll be attacked for this, but I must ask:

Was Britt as good as his preseason expectations? Did he have a chance to shine due to injuries from last year and this year?
If 6'8" 298 is correct, I wonder if he was a bit too thin to hold his ground against the best DTs when 6'5" 315 is more the norm on All American lineman. Dont' get me wrong, I think Wes is a class act, a model Crimson Tide football player, and worthy of all the awards he's gotten.

He was the best OL in the SEC, yet only third team? Munoz was a bigger name, but lesser talent. Britt will reap the benefits at the next level.

My sentiments exactly. I wouldn't have a problem with him only being third team if Munoz weren't selected 1st team. No way did Munoz (or UT's OL) do as good a job as Britt.

Munoz was second team all-SEC! No way is he a 1st team AA, it was his father that was an All American. The AP always shafts the SEC.

Ben Wilkerson won the Rimington Award as the best center in college football and the AP has him on the 3rd team.

Carnell Williams and Corey Webster also are better than their 2nd team AP listing.

And there's...

McNeil of AU, on second team AA - you know, the one Dubose/Cottrell rejected as "too short." Of course, they went strictly by the "stars," although it would appear that they probably examined chicken entrails like the old Romans did, since hen innards had more brains...

Here is a better one:
CFN All-American Offense

Incidently, CFN didn't even put Munoz on the third team.

This is indeed some very strange stuff. The Heisman Trophy winner is second string QB on CFN All-American Team. C Ben Wilkerson won the Rimington Trophy for the best center in the country and he is 3rd team on AP All-America team. The SEC's Jacobs Award winner for Best Blocker is Wesley Britt and he is 3rd team on AP All-America team behind Munoz. Munoz didn't even make it as 3rd string on the CFN all-American Team.
