App. State and Michigan

Agood friend of mine is a Michigan fan. I spoke to him when Ap State took the lead and he said that he hopes that Michigan loses so they can fire Carr today.

You guys have to remember that App St is the two-time defending nat'l champs. THey are accustomed to winning. They aren't intimidated. Also, they are playing a Big 10 team. I just wished I had put a couple of benjamins on App St and taken the points. Michigan MAY come back to win but it will be very close.

I know many Mich fans, including a lot of family (in-law side). Few are in love with Carr, but only a jerk would wish this on a coach that has done what Carr has at Mich...

I imagined that was the case. I'm still curious as to how their defense is containing Michigan as well as they are. One thing about it. They are FAST! Of course they may only be on par with an SEC team as far as offensive playmaker speed. We all know now just how slow the entire Little11 is.

So far, Mich has not tried just lining up and running the ball down their throats. They keep spreading the ball out. The problem, App State is faster than they are, so they are playing to the strength of the App State defense. IMO, if they are to win, they will have to move to a power offense...

Michigan will need to find a defense if they want to try the power football route.
