As a horn fan who feels much more objective than most, you are not wrong in anything you said. I had begun to lose hope in most Bama fans, you restored some faith.
It will be an epic close game full of hard hitting and big plays. Whoever executes for all 4 quarters will have a chance to win at the end.
Thanks, cam4mav. Of course I'd love for Bama to drill Texas, but just cuz that's what I want to happen doesn't mean it's gonna happen.

I was hoping there isn't a wide swath of Bama faithful who are actually expecting Texas to be a pushover. Maybe it's a case of the most vocal ones skewing the true sentiment.

I think it will probably be a close game but it's hard to say. If we come out and play like we did against AU then it will be close. If we come out and play like we did against UF then I expect the same result. Either way I think the Tide brings home #13.

We play our best game of the season or we say "almost".

Texas is more than capable of kicking our butt.

I'm confident that Coach Saban will convince our players of that fact.

But it is indeed, a fact.

It's time to stop drinking Kool Aid and get ready to prepare for a war.

As it should be.

For me, I'll follow Nick's lead and expect it to be tight. If it's not - and it's in our favor - then I'll just be pleasantly surprised, as I was for the UF game.
Thats exactly what my mindset is for this game. Just win baby! If we end up hammering Texas like we did Florida then thats great!

I think we are probably a better team and would win 7 of 10 ... but these guys are very good and know how to win. I think it will be a dogfight to the last drive.

This topic came up today and as a friend of mine mentioned, a lot can happen in the 4-5 weeks between season's end an a bowl in terms of a team's focus and quite frankly when a team gets hot. I have said before that IMO Texas has more offensive weapons than Florida, better receivers, better run game, and a QB who may not be Tebow but isn't far behind.

I do not believe Texas has faced a team with the offensive balance that we have but their defense is very good. They have excellent talent and depth and Mack Brown's record speaks for itself. Gonna be a lot closer than the SECCG.

I have to admit I am inclined (and selected such in the poll) to believe Bama will win comfortably, but not a blow out. While I have the utmost respect for the team and talent of Texas, I fully believe we match up extremly well against them.

They have a ton of team speed on defense. They remind me a little of Virginia Tech only faster. The best thing I have heard someone say about this is, "Just because you can outrun a train doesn't mean you can stop it." This very apt statement is why I believe we win.

I do not believe they can stop our running game, and possession receiving game consitantly. At first we may only get in a field position battle, but later in the game I believe the time of possession will wear their speed defense down, and keep their offense of the field. We have seen this happen many times this year.

Here's hoping I right :D

I think if we played today, we win easily, but to wait a month, it will be a dogfight.

You've gotta be the first person I have heard to say that about the TX running game. I mean, Florida is one of the best running teams in the country, and Texas is not in the top 50. Still, I agree with you in that it will not be an easy win for either side. I am expecting us to win a close game.

im not sure how close the score will be but i do expect a hard fought game. they are undefeated for a reason. but i do think we will be a different animal than anything they have seen all season.

please tell me where I said that? Or even anything remotely close to it.
