I have my issues with service academies and their roles in a republic (look at cadets and midshipman who are generals and admirals sons and daughters), but I appreciate the spirit of the game closeness of the talent levels.

My Dad and some other relatives served in the Air Force. I have one uncle who served on the Yorktown in the Navy. I am supposed to be like my uncle so GO NAVY!Thank you to all the men and women who have served our country and allowed me to enjoy freedom!

I watched some of the segments on College Game Day this morning. Robert Kraft was great. The segment on Army Chief Warrant Officer 3 Stephen R. Dwyer was very moving and had me in tears.....

I had a cousin was a retired gunnery sergeant, probably 40 years older than me. He told me at the age of five that they were going to make the Navy part of the Marine Corps. It sounded like a good idea to me as a five year old.
