I saw Shane Youngblood tweeted "huge news on a new 2012 commitment from the state of Georgia on BamaOnLine.com" a few minutes ago, but I couldn't find the article. RTR!

Good stuff!

Alabama hauls in elite RB in Georgia

They really just offered everything I was looking for in a college," said Drake. "Academics and athletics are on the highest level at Alabama. The coaches are just well respected around the country and they put out top tier athletes every year."

Drake said the Alabama staff was excited to get the news today.

"I actually verbally committed today," he said."I called coach Kirby Smart first and he said he was really excited and the whole Alabama program was excited to have a player like me to commit really early. It is good for me to get it over with, so I can focus on my spring and senior season." Although his recruiting is over, Drake says he will help the Tide recruit other players. "Oh yes sir, I am going to help in anyway I can," he said."I am going to do what I can to help bring good players in.I will definitely be helping bring players in to my class at my school."

great pick up from the Peach State. offers from Georgia, GA Tech, Tennessee, and Purdue.

I think he mentioned that CNS like his versitality. an all-around athlete that can be use in multiple ways.

btw, he stated that he took the word "commitment" seriously, WOW! imagined that..

Got to love a kid who commits early and wants to help recruit other players. Maybe him and Ragland can help bring in some more top recruits.

according to BOL, Drake showed up at Bama 6'1 and 195lbs. the young man has not finish growing yet.

early reports from the AJC, Drake is listed as the #6 player in Georgia for 2012.

he is mentioned as an explosive player with blazing speed (legit 4.4). I think he winds up as a WR/Athlete.

Georgia will not give up on him, guarantee. other SEC schools will be going after this young man very hard this year as well.

he boasts a 3.5 GPA, commits early to focused on school and his senior year in football, also wants to recruit for us!! I love this kid already..

The fact that he's willing to help recruit players and he's a big time player in the state of GA means that he could help us in that state. GA is the 4th highest ranked state so far in the class of 2012 and to lock someone down like Drake could be huge for next years class
