What happened? It seemed we had this one in the bag and it seemed that Keenan Allen was ours too but both seem to be slipping away now. I know you miss on some, but lately we have not missed on many and this is odd....

From what we've gathered, Bama has cooled on this one.

As far as Allen goes, we are still in the lead/tied for lead.

Oh well, I hope we get him, but if we don't life will still go on. I'll take Andrew Bone's word for it, if he says were going for him hard I believe it, were not going to get everybody we want.

Show me one article where Beasley states that Clemson leads for his commit. He has had some positive remarks about Clemson(which most every recruit does after a visit) but has always said Bama was leading.

I have not seen one. The article released right after his Clemson visit, he was still raving about Alabama. I don't know if we'll get him or not, but I think that might have more to do with Alfy Hill.

:BigA: I read on another chat forum that Beasley settled his decision Thursday night! Does anyone know the results?

It's a safe bet if we've cooled on Beasley the staff must feel pretty darn good about getting whoever is in front of him. I'd hate to see him go to Clemson but if the staff likes someone else more I'm certainly getting behind their opinion.

Looking at his measurables, he seems like a great wide receiver body. Why do people talk about him solely on defense. I could see him at safety, but 6'4''+ guys who have a big frame and can run aren't exactly easy to find...that's why Julio Jones was a 5-star WR.

This is what i have been hearing bama cooled after the last camp because of spots available and people in front of him one of which (not allen) is suppose to commit before their first football game. Beasley was a great prospect and kid just a numbers crunch ,but its great that Dabo got em. ROLL TIDE

Personally I can't hate a kid (and I know you didn't mean it that way) for staying out of the SEC---if he isn't going to chose Bama. In fact, IMO, he looks like he picking the "right" Tigers to ride with durig his college career.

His parents' desire for him NOT to go UA might be part an underlying factor in his decision. I will be shocked if does not choose Clemson.

Well if the parents want him at Clemson then so be it. Best of luck to him. :BigA:

TigerIllustrated.com - Beasley to Clemson

I would have loved to have him, but obviously the staff has bigger and better plans. This is not your typical recruit where I would have said WDWHIW ;)

Clemson got a good one. If the staff cooled on him like many here think they did, it can only mean good things. You don't cool on prospects like Beasley unless you've got some Aces up your sleeve. This guy would have been one of the "Crown Jewel's" of our class a few years ago.

It's amazing how everyone on this site is coming up with all these reasons why we didn't get this guy: didn't have a commitable offer;we didn't really want him as bad as some of the other athletes on the board;we quit recruiting him hard etc.,. Can it be that he just went to Clemson and was more impressed by what he saw there than he was at Alabama? Come on guys this is the arrogance that the barners speak of daily. WE LOST HIM! No excuses, life goes on, better luck on the next prospect. We win some, we lose some...........but at least we beat them on the field where it really counts right? BTW, this doesn't pertain to everyone on this site. Roll Tide Bruh!
