Atlanta ~ Our game isn't on pay per view?! (nope, it's on ABC...)

Re: Atlanta ~ Our game isn't on pay per view?! Charter is terrible!

I may have fallen victim to bad information from a co-worker. I'm checking now. :)

I listened to a Ga Tech fan... As it turns out, he successfully griefed me.

"Hey man.. I bet you're upset that your game won't even be on ppv."

He saw me panic..

lol thanks guys..

Anger.

Anyone else live here and have any suggestions? :conf2:

As a former Charter employee who got yelled at everyday for things beyond my control, I laugh in your face sir. No, the game isnt on ppv. Its on ABC. You know, that station everyone has. Yes, even Charter.

PS - Bama and AU only have one ppv game a year. We've already had ours in week one.

PPS - I linked this a few weeks back and no one even replied to the thread http://lsufootball.net/tvschedule.htm

Its all you'll ever need. Best TV schedule ever. Yes, it gets updated.

I live in the atlanta area and the headline scared me. I immediately clicked. The whole time I was thinking I have espn college gameday package so surely I will be able to see the game... I am much happier its on ABC. I can see it in HD. The only problem with the gameday package is the games are not in HD which drives me nuts.

I live in OK, less than 50 miles from the cutoff between it being on ABC-HD and Gameplan fuzz, but at least I get to watch it, so no complaints here. I just might have to refer to the judgement of questionable calls to you lucky devils that get to see it in HD. :)

When it comes to the Bama game, I will take a crappy picture over not seeing the game any day. Not seeing Bama is NEVER an option.

For allowing me to always be able to watch The Mighty Crimson Tide on TV, I salute you crappy broadcast, no HD, espn college gameday broadcaster guy!"

But ABC in HD is so much better!

I have had endless problems with my cable internet connection. I'd never be nasty to the Charter people I would speak to over the phone though.. I always had the presence of mind to know they aren't directly responsible for the terrible product lol. Most of them are stupid tho... lol

Out where I live, our charter cable was horrible. The internet was slow and not even working half the time. The cable went out atleast 2 times a week. I switched to directtv about 2 years ago and it was the best decision ever. I love DTV. I have never had one single problem with it. DTV really does have tons and tons of HD channels. I rarely ever have to watch something that's not in HD.

Well am ticked off, it seems the ABC has decided to show the Nebraska game instead of the Alabama game here in the Midwest. I have to watch it on ESPN3 or pay 30.00 to watch it on pay per view.

Looks like I get to watch it through the pixelation of ESPN3 since I am a cheapskate.

What is espn3? I am not familiar with it? Are you talking about the espn gameday package?

Ya, I watched the game today on ESPN3... I hook my laptop up to my big screen. The picture isn't so good, the sound isn't so good, and its def a choppy connection. But I'll take it! It's better than forking out $$ for Gameplan.

Personally, I think its odd that ESPN has ESPN3 and Gameplan. You would think that w/ all the free games on ESPN3, that Gameplan would take a big hit financially. Add to that the fact that there are 5 games going on at the same time at any given minute on Saturdays... tough to keep up w/ as it is.
