AU Signees Grades Changed / Update

"If our computers were up and left unattended at any point for any reason, anybody could've gotten to them," Mixon said.

Wonder what dates Auburn staff was on campus slipping $100 dollar bills for grade adjustments?

Don't even tell me that it's just a chance event that 2 different schools had issues with just so happen to be Auburn signees. BS.

Another school walks. Move along.

New word for me "cabal" - the artifices and intrigues of a group of persons secretly united to bring about an overturn or usurpation esp. in public affars:also: agroup engaged in such artifices and intrigues : see PLOT.

Looks like Wayne and Chett blew this one.

There is a reason why Bama hasn't been getting as many recruits out of Mobile as it should. There is a "cabal" of high school officials, coaches, and teachers who are susceptible to "outside influences", much like Memphis.

Auburn may not get burned on this one, but their fence around Mobile is coming down.

I think that sums it up best. It will be impossible to pin any of this on Auburn, but the party is pretty much over regarding the cheating lovefest. The lovefest will continue, but they've been put on notice by this latest stunt.

All I know is that something smells very "fishy" around this topic! Even if it weren't an Auburn official, it was without question and Auburn fan/booster who did it! Doesn't that constitute a booster and if so, why can't Auburn be held responsible for the actions of their boosters? Wasn't Alabama held responsible for the actions of one of its boosters?

I am actually not suggesting that Auburn can control boosters anymore than Alabama, but this just shows how stupid the rule is to expect a school to control every fan/booster! And they don't have to be multi-millionaires to break rules! This is just as bad as trying to buy a student in my book. Either way, it could have resulted in an ineligible player playing.

As long as the situation is caught I personally believe no harm, no foul should be the result to the schools. It's a dumb and literally impossible expectation on the schools.

all very true..

I couldn't figure out why Bama wasn't recruiting Ryan Williams very heavily last year even though he'd mentioned that Alabama was his favorite team. I guess they (Bama coaches) knew something was up.

UT is not held responsible for the actions of their boosters. Oh wait, they reclassify what constitutes a booster for them. I think AU will be in the same orange, teflon boat with UT. Nothing will stick, so it's a moot point.

If this same situation had happened to Alabama signees, the NCAA would have sent a 20 man task force the next day and started talking death penalty, ESPN would call for a shut down of the whole program and congress would start committee hearings.
Over stated? Maybe a little but not too much.

It's not overstated as much as some may think. For the life of me I'll never understand how the NCAA segregates which situations they choose to investigate further. It's definitely not objective. I honestly believe the school has a lot to do with it...politics if you will...and most of the time we get the short end of the stick.

limited access.... specific teachers, principals, guidance counselors, administrators at barton academy. I really think that this was outside of slipping a 100 dollar bill. It seems that it is more along the lines of a higher up at BA who has connections with AU, possibly a graduate. Maybe even Dr. Dodge knows and thats why his contract wasnt renewed. Why wasnt it renewed as given by the media?

Those folks just show their contempt for the intelligence of the general public to try to pass this off as an "error." The only "error" is that they got caught. I wonder how many other "errors" have occurred under the Lowder regime at allbarn? You can bet that they're busy as can be right now trying to refine the process so that no more "errors" see the light of day.
