Serious question- Could the band, cheerleader, etc account for the 747? (If it would hold them)
Doubt it since that means Auburn would have to foot the bill the entire week for either/both groups, but then again this is Auburn we're talking about. Normally teams send the band and cheerleaders two or three days before the game, not a week. I assume it's the team, coaches and their entire families, and every booster Auburn has. That would get you to about 400 with a few empty seats here and there.

cam recieved enough money to be able to pay for it, haha.
LOL..sCam probably got a bonus pay for getting them to the NC Game..And bought them the 747..They're flying "sCam Air"..And they can enjoy endless supply of "Cammy Juice" while in flight..They have the choice of 5*(remember sCam was a 5* recruit) food..You don't wanna know what they get for dessert..

I heard that they took 100 cows, 25 pigs and 5 goats, not to mention the sheep and what they will be used for. Also Cam's posse' and crew, along with the towel guys for Trooper. The bigger plane was for the weight of the cheerleaders. I hate Auburn, Go Ducks.

Come on guys, stop complaining. They need a big plane, their football players average 250 I'm guessing, girlfriends about the same. Remember when bama reported their expenses last year, man did a lot of people ..... and moan. Auburn will beat us by a mile.

I thought the same thing, why charter a 747 to fly to Ariz? What did they take a short trip across the Atlantic first? Wierd.... maybe they got a deal or something...

This has got to be the epitome of silliness. Not only did Auburn charter a 747 (!) for their flight to Arizona, bringing 400 people, they also apparently had Delta change the flight route to fly them over Auburn on their way out to Phoenix.

Comparatively, Alabama chartered a 757 (capacity about 220 pax) out of Birmingham to go to Pasadena - the same plane we charter to fly to Gainesville, Arkansas, etc. They would have gone out of Tuscaloosa but the runway there isn't long enough for a 757 to take off with enough fuel to go cross country.

I may be the only aviation geek interested enough to look this stuff up but, to me, this is just a notch above the "Tiger Prowl" in silliness. I hope they continue this right up through the game.... more chances for the Ducks to come through with the right attitude and approach.

I look at all of this Auburn grandioso as kind of a "last hurrah". They know the end is very near. A program as strong as Alabama can recover from devastating NCAA sanctions in 6-10 years, like we did. Auburn is likely to take 20 years to overcome what is very likley headed their way.

And while i am amazed at the athletic ability of Cam Newton, the more i see him the more i continue to notice that he doesn't have a single humble bone in his body. I think he has a serious "God complex". And the most pitiful thing about the whole situation, is that the barner faithful is so starved for the national recognition Cam brings them that they are willing to worship at his feet. All the while Cam and his family are playing Auburn like a fiddle. They love him so much, but he doesn't give a rip about them or how much of their blood he's going to leave behind when he's gone.

And I'll bet each Auburn person spends about $20 each to help the local Glendale economy. But since they're known for bringing a sack lunch with them and stealing the fruits and vegetables from the local residents gardens, they likely won't spend a dime. Probably sleep for free at the airport waiting area too.

Its the EGOS and BIG HEADS. This is the reason for such a large plane.
Besides Tammy has to have a place to sleep. They wouldn't let her have a room in a hotel.

"Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. This is your captain speaking. We've turned off the fasten seat belt sign and you are free to move about the cabin. If you will look to your left, you'll see the Loveliest Village on the Plains. Take a good look now, as this will soon be renamed the Valley of Tears and Misery."

Maybe they took all the Academy Sports homers with them since they are running this ad...

Auburn
I'm hoping a lot of Auburn 2010 National Champions shirts show up in third world countries later this year, much like Buffalo Bills World Champions 1991, 1992, 1993, and 1994 shirts.

Nice toilet paper, BTW. Classy "university" there. I do wonder, will the Academy in T-Town open if the Barners win it all?
